The chair is substantially more sturdy than typical folding chairs, unless you pay close to 2-5 times more. Also, the back does not protrude into your shoulders as so many other chairs of this kind where you sit slumped - it helps that the bottom is quite flat. The main problems are 1) folding this thing is ridiculously hard, until you realize you have to slide certain parts (check out youtube for how), 2) the cupholder setup is not adequate - you need more than one pouch for bottles, and put another for phones, etc.

This chair is very solid. I’m 6’4” and 235 lbs and this chair is comfortable and doesn’t strain under my weight. It’s also high enough so my hips and even with my knees when sitting so ergonomically correct. A lot of folder chairs are too low. I like this chair a lot. Took it to the beach this past weekend and it is great

We purchased 2 of these last year. Glad they brought them back so I could purchase 1 for my father to use at the farmers markets. They fold up easily and are light weight and with the shoulder strap, they are easy for him to carry to his booth. They are comfortable & sturdy enough for his back yet easy to get in and out of.

A comfortable folding chair, easy to set up, there is a trick to folding it back up. Lay it down with the back to the ground then push on the two front legs -- don't forget to connect the strap buckle.

4 Stars because it doesn't unfold/fold as easy as I hoped for, not bad just seemed tougher then it should be... but It supported me, 300+ lbs. weight limit... Hard Plastic Chairs cause me extra back(tail bone) pain, this chair was comfy enough to not cause me extra pain.

The older ones were better. I have one i bought a few years ago and like it a lot so bought another thinking they were still the same. The latch is a strap now and the back of the seat is more rounded so to me, it isnt as comfortable

Once opened they are next to impossible to close. There's a video out there where a guy shows you how to use a hammer to tap on certain places to get it to close. Who wants to carry a hammer with these chairs? No thanks.

Close to impossible to close to put back in carry bag, put in trash on two occasions but a beach goer was able to assist in closing it, once open a great chair but it should not be that difficult to close.

These were wonderful chairs in the past. This new model is hard to fold. I bought two and had to take one back because it won’t fold up. It was only the second time that the chair had been used.

Chair lock feature when chair is folded up is HORRIBLE takes forever to catch it locked/closed; I plan on to return it SO not like the others I already have which is a simple fold over hook type feature, so pleased with those, can holder feature is significantly smaller than the others from Sam’s I already own
