I was really surprised wen opened my toilet paper large package and the toilet roll was narrow compared to a generic brand my daughter-in-law had purchased and it was a generic brand....what the what....charmin was a 1/2 inch smaller in size...you may have downsized the tp but my butt size is still the same....just unhappy...I would have expected it out of the generic by NOT CHARMIN...sorry about the bad review

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like Charmin Ultra Soft toilet paper and was fortunate to try it for free as part of a BzzAgent campaign. I was sent a 4-Mega Roll package as part of my Bzzkit. What I liked about Charmin Ultra Soft was that it really was soft and gentle on my privates and bottom. It didn't leave residue and wasn't linty. There was the appropriate amount of cushion and absorption, and it was strong enough to do the job without tearing or shredding. It didn't take a ton of sheets to get me clean. It left me feeling fresh. What I didn't like about it so much was that Charmin's "mega" roll felt more like the competitor's double rolls. Charmin's rolls didn't last as long as the competitor's double rolls and not as long as I would expect something termed MEGA to last. Additionally, Charmin is always priced quite s bit higher than the competition. Top that with the competition who offers much higher value coupons than Proctor & Gambles' small 25-cent coupon, the competitors become a much better deal. If you don't care about money, you'll be happy with Charmin, just as you'd be happy with the Ultra/Soft varieties of competitors. I think it comes down to personal preference. I personally did like the softness and strength of Charmin Ultra Soft and that it didn't chaff my skin nor clog up my sewage. If you need to watch your budget, then you might be happier with a competitor whose ultra product is comparably soft but yet has a lower price and offers more cents-off savings in their coupons. I think this would be better labeled a double roll to have a more honest feel (at least to me).

It's really not hard to distinguish the paid reviews from real customer reviews. Charmin has been in the house continuously for decades since the wedding. His job is to keep the toilet seat down, and my job is to supply the Charmin. Yes, Charmin brand. I've been buying the Ultra Soft blue package for years. Within the past year, the roll width has become shorter. Not pleased, but fairly tolerable. The inside plies wrapped next to the cardboard middle is wadded and trashier to make the roll seam cushier. Yes, I see through that, too. My biggest beef is ply taring. Not sure if the Ultra Strong does the same thing, but I can't seem to be able to tear off a ply cleanly at least 75-percent of the time. And, I'm being optimistically generous with the percentage. There's a jagged rip here and there. And then, there's the miracle strip. You know, you pull at the ply and you come up with an 8-inch to 15-inch long confetti string. To production control -- come on guys, let's get it together. No woman in her right mind would approve of, or use such shoddy toilet tissue. It's time to get women in the boardroom and in quality control.

Quality control fell asleep at the wheel. First time. Sheets do not tear at the perforations and instead simply tear at the weakest point. This caused (a couple times) a "spinning" roll and yards of tp onto the floor. What am I - a cat? Still love the product. Can't see myself standing in line trying to return unused rolls of toilet paper

I LOVE that I can store 16 rolls in the space that would normally hold 4 rolls. Another plus is you don't have to change the roll so often. Same great quality I am used to from Charmin! Try it.

I gave it a try and it really is as soft and cushiony as they claim. I used to use Northern, but I am switching to Charmin from now on. Because it's so soft you end up using less than other brands. It's supposed to be clog safe and septic safe, so that's a plus too. It fits in a regular bathroom holder without squishing it. Charmin Ultra Strong was voted Best New Bath Tissue by consumers in the 2014 Better Homes and Gardens Best New Product Awards.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free test product, Charmin Ultra Soft toilet tissue, which initially I was unsure about what I would think of the product, I have not used Charmin in many years as my sig other has a preference for Scott tissue. I was very pleasantly surprised. First the tissue is soft, it feels like cloth in your hands, not rough. I discovered that less needed to be used in order to get the job done, and the tissue did not fall apart during use. I believe that I am going to be a convert and choose Charmin Ultra Soft.

First off let me tell you the package I was given was a quadruple roll size. Meaning that the single roll in my package was equivalent to 4 regular rolls of toilet paper. This was beneficial because the rolls lasted longer requiring less changes and not to mention more product for the value. I have sensitive skin and so being clean and dry is super important. This toilet tissue is strong and very absorbent. I didnt feel the need to over use because I was able to feel clean and dry the first time. The tissue is also very soft and not abrasive on your bum. I would highly recommend the use of this product to anyone
