we have used different brands but after trying Charmin ultra soft, we have never bought anything else.  It is much softer than any other brand we have used.  We like to get the Mega rolls  because they last much longer than the other types.   We highly recommend Charmin Ultra Soft.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For many years, I used Northern toilet paper. It was soft with a nice pattern on it, it was strong, and was a good value, until fairly recently. Not long ago, they changed their packaging, and at the same time, the number of sheets on a roll were now way less, plus the width of the rolls were also cut down. This angered me, as the price hadn't changed and I was going through the rolls much quicker than before, so I started looking for another brand to start using. I then tried Angel Soft, and although it was soft, it seemed to shred easily and I had to use more sheets each time I used it, so again went looking for another brand of TP to use. When I was a child, my parents bought 1-ply Charmin to use on the boat they kept on the Mississippi river, as it truly was the only TP that didn't clog up the works in their marine toilet. I always liked the softness, but didn't like that it was only 1 ply in those days. When looking at other toilet papers to buy, I was pleased to find Charmin is now 2-ply, so decided to give this TP a try. I found that the Charmin Ultra Soft had a good amount of sheets per roll, it was still a good sized width, so not much of my toilet paper holder shows on the sides of the roll, has a pretty embossed design on it, holds together well, and is still one of the softest toilet papers I've ever used. Although I loved the Charmin, I had also heard many good things about Costco's Kirkland toilet paper, and decided to also try this brand, which has a good sized width with 425 sheet per roll, a nice embossed design on it. This TP is also soft, although definitely not as cushy soft as the Charmin brand. Since I go through a lot of toilet paper, each week, I decided to use this brand for myself, as and I could get it for a great price and it worked well for me. However, in my guest bathroom, I continued to use the Charmin Ultra Soft paper, as I know my guests appreciate using Charmin on their bums. Charmin just sent me a nice a 4-pack of Charmin Ultra Soft in the Mega roll size. These rolls are bigger than the other packages I have, which were just Jumbo sized rolls. I'm using this in my bathroom and it does last longer than those Jumbo rolls and is still the softest toilet tissue I have ever used! However, it's kind of a toss up for me regarding which brand to use, as a roll of the Kirkland brand still lasts longer for me because of the huge size of their rolls, it is a great value, and is also very kind to my bum. I do love the feeling of using Charmin, as it's a feeling of being pampered in the bathroom, and although I may still use the warehouse brand in my bathroom, I'm going to continue to provide my guests with Charmin Ultra Soft in the guest bathroom, as it has got to be the softest toilet paper on the planet, and my friends deserve this extra cushy softness on their bums!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] cuddly to your bottom. Soft and very good toilet paper. It is thick but yet it is safe to your septic tank or your sewage system. We love using Charmin and it does not take as much as you do with other brand toilet paper. We always use Charmin Ultra soft when we can afford it in our home. We recomment Charmin ultra soft especially for children!

I immediately went into my bathroom to replace my current roll with the Charmin and one of the things I noticed right away was the size difference! It's insane how much morning tissue you get on these rolls.

We have historically purchased store brand toilet paper but after receiving this to try from Charmin we are absolutely going to switch!!!!! The rolls last SO much longer than store brand paper and the softness is not even comparable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So we got our buzz box and I opened it right away... exchanged our old roll (store brand) with the Charmin ultra soft... it was more then double the double roll I had... so I was already pleased. I have 2 very young children and we go through a lot of paper since they are new to the potty... well my youngest (3) had gotten a cold and we used toilet paper when we blow our nose... and so she gave the best review so I will share hers... She blows her nose about 3 times and then she's done and before she says that's better she yells my nose isn't scratchy... the prior roll was a little rough for her little nose. She thought it was the best thing ever and rubbed some on her face... much like the commercials actually.. we are still on our 1st roll after about 5 days... in a house of 4 and 3 girls... 2 of which have no sense on control when it comes to house much paper they use... needless to say I am very pleased...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am the proud owner of a happy tushy. I received a free sample of Charmin Ultra Soft Mega rolls. I was honestly so skeptical because my sewer lines are old and clog so easily and Charmin is thicker. Much to my surprise, it didn't clog the line and thats because I hardly used any paper. I am shocked that a toilet tissue could be so strong but so soft and leave you cleaner than before with significantly less paper!! My old brand(yes we broke up) would seem to dissentigrate the second it got wet. No more, I have seen the difference and I have changed to Charmin Ultra Soft Mega Rolls and I can definitely say I am happier and so is my purse with the money I'm saving by using less tissue. It cleans so well there is no need for me to follow with a wipe anymore. I don't think I could be happier with a toilet paper. I'm a week into my first roll and still have over half of it. There is four people in my home, that my dear friends is exceptional value!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Charmin is absolutely spot on with the name. It is ultra soft! My kids were snuggling the package upon receiving it. With that being said, it is so soft that it tends to stick to your skin. It became annoying after using it a few times. But if you're looking for the softest toilet paper on the market, this is probably for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Charmin was fabulous at sending my family their product to test out. The Ultra Soft Mega roll arrived during a Family gathering of 11. Perfect I thought "now I can really test out this product" and see what everyone thinks. I supplied two bathrooms with the Mega roll and two with my normal brand. Two days later we were all sitting at breakfast and I casually mentioned the Charmin. My sister said "I thought it was very soft and nice", my brother in law stated that he thought the roll was too big for the holder. The roll of paper is huge compared to normal brands. I am pleased with that fact because I figured the roll would last longer and I wouldn't have to go to the store to replace it. We do have a septic at our home and I really wanted to know why the package says clog safe, septic safe. So we tested the paper against the other brand I already had. Taking a 1/4 portion of each brand I placed each piece in a clear glass of water. No major change took place between the two. We left our little experiment on the counter overnight. Neither paper deteriorated, the Ultra soft separated into two parts while the other brand did not. So I'm not convinced that the Charmin Ultra Soft is safe for septics. I am convinced however, that the Mega roll is lasting longer. I don't have to change the roll as often and it is super soft. I will be looking for Charmin Ultra soft Mega rolls next time I'm in the store.
