The battery/charge controller fails completely just after warranty rendering them inoperable even if on charging base or if plugged in. Can you believe that! Even when it is plugged into the wall power source it does not work, that is a huge mistake! I am not an expert just a simple customer who put their trust into a good brand! The option is to buy a new battery which is expensive and not a good reflection on what i once viewed as a quality brand.

I never thought I would buy Bose products and I did cause my beats pill broke way to quick in just a month for it costing 300 back then, and I was in search for a good speaker and that's when I got the Bose sound link mini, it was a great purchase, I had the little speaker for about 4 years and it sounds great to to this day still, it has a couple of scratches and dings but still works the same after so many years.

This is the best speaker I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. It is by far the clearest sound I've ever heard out of anything, and competes easily with professional monitors. The bass is powerful enough to shake the surface it's sitting on and feels VERY tactile in the hand. HOWEVER! This is still a very VERY small machine, and therefore has a very small sound. A previous reviewer who said to place the speaker near a wall is correct, and there are other things that can be done to expand the sound. I recommend this for portability: 10/10. But it cannot replace a good pair of monitors, even though the sound might be as good. Also, remember that this isn't terribly "stereo." Even though is does have two high/mid range drivers, they are so close together physically that it's hard to notice the difference from any distance. In other words, Bose hit it out of the park for clarity and bass. Features all work almost flawlessly as well, but it is still a small bluetooth speaker. It's the BEST small bluetooth speaker in the world, but there you are.

I actually have the original but wanted to post my experience. Love this little speaker. My wife and I jet ski every weekend in the summer. We prefer to anchor and relax in our floats for hours. I bunge this speaker to my handlebars and, voila, we have awesome tunes for the day. People are amazed when they come by us that so much sound is coming out of such a small package. Being on the water, on a calm day the sound really travels. We can be 50' away and still hear it clearly with impressive bass. Thinking of upgrading to the II series for the mike, would be nice to be able to take calls without having to get out of the water. My only concern is the battery life is starting to diminish. Wondering if the battery can be replaced?

I've had my Bose Mini (original version) for about two years now and have been pleased with its performance. I use it to stream music from my laptop computer and cell phone. You get improved base and sound in small rooms and if you position the speaker near a wall (8 - 10 inches). I also purchased the carrying case when I travel.

The speaker I bought my parents a year and a half ago won't work anymore. The speaker battery won't charge, from the plate or straight from the wall. Very frustrating. And can't find anything on the website to help us fix it or replace it. This was a gift to them and they can't use it anymore.

My wife and I were recently visiting a friend in Florida and her sound system sounded fantastic. I went looking for all of the stereo equipment and large speaker arrays, however it all came down to this little gem of a Bluetooth speaker and a smartphone. I was so impressed, I bought one when I returned to CT and plan on buying one for my daughter, for whom space is at a premium. This Bose Soundlink Mini II sounds better than my tower speakers at home (which will now be relegated to art pedestals).

This speaker is the best Bluetooth speaker forget JBL and Beats your paying for the name when you buy those. Bose has the best bass with ultimate clarity no raspy noise Bass that let's you hear the sound not like the to subwoofer booms you can you can't here music on other speakers this is the best. RECOMMEND BUT IT!!!!!!!

I've used Bose products for many many years. Great products and outstanding service. Do you travel on business? Do you love good music in your hotel room but you find that JBL tube speaker thing you bought a couple of years ago or wearing a headset just doesn't cut it? Then buy this Soundlink Mini. You will feel at home with great sound and convieniance. With my iPhone, it just WORKS! it tells me I'm connected, it tells me the battery charge percentage. It talks to me! It's a friggin speakerphone. I can't say enough about it. Get One!

I have had several speakers from Bose, from speakers in my car to this one, I love the clear sound that Bose speakers give you, however I was disappointed with the bass. Bose says it sounds great, but I found it couldn't handle a lower pitch bass but the high pitched bass sound it has is phenomenal! Thanks again Bose!
