Paid much more than comparable products because of the Bose® name. What we got for the money was a cute little brick with a red light. It worked briefly and sounded fine, but not all that significantly different from speakers at a much lower price point. Its problems started as connectivity issues. That was inconvenient, but we worked around it. Now, after only 2 months of limited use, it will not respond to any alleged online remedies. I wish we'd have read the one star reviews prior to this significant expenditure. Fixed income retirees should not have to waste precious funds on electronic bricks. Stay away from this product.

I've owned this item for 5 days now. I am very impressed. I initially bought the Beats Pill 2.0. It lacked good clarity and bass, in my opinion, so I exchanged it for the Bose. Well worth the $60 more I had to pay. Excellent treble, midrange and especially bass. Very easy setup, and now that it's setup, immediate pairing when I turn on the Bluetooth on my Galaxy Note 5. Build quality is outstanding, though I did buy one of the Bose covers for extra protection. The multifunction button works well for taking calls, pausing the music and going forward or back on my song list. Battery life is excellent. Overall, a great buy. I never thought such good sound could come from a small package. This is my second Bose purchase after buying the Cinemate 15 for my television, and I couldn't be happier with the sound and quality from both. I highly recommend it.

I purchased the Soundlink Mini II after BOSE finally built speaker phone capability into it. I have been delighted with its performance. As with all BOSE products, less is more. So long as you keep any software equalizer settings at or below 2 DB while keeping its volume output at or below 80 percent to avoid overdriving the speaker, the quality of its sound reproduction is phenomenal. The unit's ease of pairing to Bluetooth devices was unexpected but much appreciated. The speaker has performed so well that it will replace my main desktop system. I agree with every online review I have read that there is no other Bluetooth speaker system in this class that is equal to or better then the Soundlink Mini II.

I previously left a poor review on this product when mine stopped working after a while. Given its price, I figured it would last a long time. Bose support emailed me after seeing my review and provided technical assistance. They did everything possible to help me fix it, even sent new cords, but it was broken beyond repair. They sent me a completely new speaker free of charge after I sent in the old one. I received great service, and the new speaker works great. The sound is really good, and the bluetooth connects better than it did before.

Bought this a week ago and already exchanged for another unit and this has similar issues. Out of the box, charged over night and battery was 100% and connection to device was perfect. Played music (great sound) for about 6 hours and powered down. Next morning, pressed power and nothing - tried numerous times no luck. Placed back on cradle and it said low battery but immediately took it off the cradle it said 70%...figured a glitch so turned it on to connect and the battery status was green, went off but no white bluetooth status to indicate connected to my device but began to play sound - sounded fine just no status indicator lights. Placed unit on cradle to charge but no green or amber light to show charging status although the battery level was 70% -checked about 2hours later and battery was still at 70% so was not charging although when it was placed on the cradle, a brief green to amber on the power flashed and then went out. Did a factory reset and all appeared normal once I went through the steps to connect - power status began to flash amber as it was charging. Next morning, unit couldn't be turned on, so again had to place on cradle and reset. This is happening on the exchanged unit as well. Any suggestions or has anyone else experienced this? Frustrating...going to exchange again...

Have had this since Christmas 2015, and could never have received a sound system that met my needs as this one does.... We travel internationally quite a lot, and find that regardless of where we may be at any given time, we always enjoy our own music.... This allows us not only to bring it with us, but to play it whenever we choose to do so....

When I bought it i didn't really expect much for it to just be a regular Bluetooth speaker,I just want something to take with me wherever I go, but after I play my music with it the sound is excellent! Couldn't believe it comes out from such small speaker.

The Soundlink Mini II is really the perfect portable speaker that doesn't comprise heavily on audio performance. Bluetooth connects flawlessy and the voice prompts work extremely well. Battery life is surprisingly good even when cranking up the speaker. Speaking of the sound, the sound has very well-defined trebles and mids and bass is definitely full and tight. For a speaker this size, the audio quality is excellent. As for the design, the lovely carbon aluminium enclosure really gives a sense of "premium" and feels very durable. Really love my Soundlink Mini II.

Love the sound and portability of my new mini I got 2 weeks ago- it has worked great taking to dance class, but has a mind of its own at home when I plug in my old iPod via the Aux connection. It will randomly stop playing music on its own, and I have to hit the power button a few times to get it to play again. Has been fully charged, so I am not sure what is going on. I will be disappointed if I have to return it.

I bought this speaker for my desk. It was easy to set up, small, and I was very pleased with the sound. However, after about nine months, it stopped working. The speaker won't charge. I've tried resetting it, updating the firmware, and following their troubleshooting guide, but nothing has fixed the problem. I guess I'll call Bose and try to get it fixed. This speaker was more expensive than any other brand, so it should last longer than a year.
