Way overrated!

There are many, many more Bluetooth speakers on the market that sound and perform much, much better. If you buy this, you are buying name only. This speaker does not get very loud and has a bloated bass sound. Don’t misunderstand... I am not saying that bass is heavy, it is just over emphasized. Poor mids and strange highs. Distorts very easily, and sounds strange with some genres. Keep shopping and listen first before buying.

Great Sound

Like all Bose products, the sound is incredible, exceeding what you would expect for the price. My only complaint is that we have two of these, and you are not able to have them both play the same song from an iPad. You have to choose which one you want to have play the music as opposed to having them play the same song simultaneously. If they made that possible, it would be a perfect product.

Great Sound with Major Flaw

This is the third bluetooth speaker that I have owned. It is clearly the best sounding speaker of the three but in my opinion it has a major flaw. The bluetooth connection ends if nothing is played for 30 minutes. This feature makes sense when it is off the charger and you want to conserve the battery. While on the charger it should allow you to keep the connection. With my other portable speakers I can set my alarm to music and it will play through the speaker, even after eight hours.

I love my little powerful speaker!!!!!!

I am sooooo happy with my purchase! I don't need anything else! Every time someone comes to my place and here's my music playing through my speaker, they want to go and purchase one for themselves. I won't be needing any other stereo component at all!!!

in door mini speaker

It sounds ok, but only for indoor use. Some scenario it sounds good: in the bathroom. on my desk (in a small room). connect to a smartphone and use it in the bedroom to wake me up. It cannot handle: use in living room, the bass will sound shallow and the sound is awful. I also tried in the car, no surprise it sounds much worse than build in speaker in my car. in short: it is regarded as the best mini speaker which has the best sound, but only in certain indoor situations. If you want to use it outdoor, find other options.

Does not power off easily

After powering the speaker, I would like to save battery power or I may have a call come in and do not want the speaker on at all. I have seen several people post asking how to shut it off. The answer is always the same - press on the power button. In doing this, the speaker states how much of the power is left. “ Battery 90%” - but it will not shut down. Apparently the only option is to let it auto shut off after wasting 30 minutes of battery or disconnecting my iPhone. This is a glitch that Bose should repair. If anything else happens like a text comes through - it waits Another 30 minutes!!!

Another great product...

I can't believe someone would buy 6 "over priced and poorly designed" Bose products, then buy a 7th and complain about it. I have only purchased 3 myself and, though pricey, believe I have gotten more than my money's worth. Recently a friend allowed me to pair my tablet to his soundlink mlnl and, although I shouldn't have been, I was amazed. I will be picking up my "over priced and poorly designed" SoundLink ll mini in a matter of days.

Great Sound and Features...but...

I have owned 2 of these speakers in 2 years. Best sound in a speaker this size and I like the fact you can be connected to more than one device at a time. Also like the voice prompts. But...I just returned the second one under an extended warranty. After about a year, both speakers had the same problem. If they sat for longer than a week or so without being used, they wouldn't power on. The only way I could get the power button to power on the unit was to plug it in to power. The battery hadn't drained. When it powered on after being plugged in, it said its battery life was around 70%. Not sure if I want to buy a third one at this point. Very bummed as I still like this speaker the best out of all others I've tried.

Failed after a few days use :(

I bought this speaker on October 1st and on November 10th it quit charging and is not recognized by the Bose updater. In that time it had been packed for over two weeks as we were moving so it had around 15 hours of use. Spoke with support for 30 minutes and they are replacing the speaker which is good but now I'm a little leery of the QC. We'll see after the replacement arrives which I suspect will be a refurbished unit. Not really happy with this product. When it works it sounds great but...caveat emptor.

Great Sound Quality! But not very loud!

It's a good quality speaker, but doesn't go loud enough for me. I agree with one review with the charging unit. Could be just a USB to be more versatile. Also the range of the blue tooth is horrible. Shortest range of any speaker I've seen. It's like 15 ft. Also my wife and I have to disconnect our blue tooth after using so the next person can get it to play. It locks it the the one phone unless blue tooth is shut of. Not a big deal. But a bit of a pain when she leaves and I can't get on.
