I purchased this unit to replace my Beats Pill, and I was blown away at the difference in sound quality. The Mini II has highs, mids, and the lows that you would come to expect with a much larger device. I honestly cannot say enough about it. I listen to all types of music and this works, period!.

I bought this as soon as it came out, as many of my friends had a great experience with the original Soundlink mini. However, I will leave it charging for a few days and the battery charge light will remain green, however when I go to use it the battery is actually dead. It will turn on and say "battery low" and wont be able to connect til a charge builds up. Kind of frustrating when you want to play music. Otherwise plays great sound.

I have Soundlink Mini II and the sound is amazing and the speaker is great to travel with and use outdoors. The problem is that the battery on this is terrible. Bose replaced my first one and sent me a new one, but the same battery problem exists. It takes two days to charge and the battery drains when using the speaker even when it is plugged in. If they fix the battery issue, this would be the best value anywhere.

I needed something portable that would fit in my laptop bag and sound great. Like every other Bose product I have (which are many), this one amazed me with it's sound. It sounds stronger and fuller than Soundlink Color, which sounds great on it's own. To think this type of sound can come from something so small is something only Bose could bring to us and at a price that's unbeatable. BEst part is that it has a 3.5 aux connection so I can connect it to my cell at work and save my data. Take that Verizon! It easiy fills my office and bedroom with music. Thank you Bose for putting out this amazing item.

I bought this speaker a couple of weeks ago. I had tried a few others and sent them back. This is the most incredible sounding speaker. It is extremely clear and the bass is awesome regardless of the volume. I use this in the house, yard, and bring it camping. I get about 8 hours off the battery which is amazing. I couldn't have made a better choice.

...when I first heard the Soundlink Mini, like many, I was so impressed I bought myself 2, & several more for family & friends - Bose has, in updating the Soundlink Mini, in my evaluation, made many improvements, 1 minor step back, & a debate - Although price is unchanged, upgrades have been made in the appearance; I like the new finishes, beveled edges & metallic top center, which I believe improves Mini II's Bluetooth reception vs. the Mini; & I like the still included cradle which now connects to power, via mini USB, from the rear. The 3 additional battery playback hrs., new Bluetooth speaker phone capabilities, & voice prompts complete the useful changes/additions to an already outstanding product - Mini II's battery offers longer play time but takes a step back as battery replacement now involves a solder connection. Bring back the pins, please. - I'm having a debate about the Mini II's sound. True the Mini II's overall sound is similar to the Mini's, yet the Mini II's bass is not as dominant as the at times thick, slow, muffled sounding Mini's; which may result in Mini II's ability to play louder, yet w/a human voice region, the midrange, now seeming quicker, more in focus, & to sparkle, the Mini II sounds like a 'smaller' speaker than the Mini. I still believe the Bose Soundlink Mini II's sound offers the best resolution & tone, if not volume in the small compact Bluetooth speaker market & bought 2 of them. One thing I would love Bose to add - the ability to use 2 Mini II's as a stereo pair. - Wonderful next generation product, deserving to catch on bigger than the great & now departed Soundlink Mini - good job Bose - !!!

NOTE that some other reviews are for the previous Soundlink and not the Soundlink II (this product page). Great sound and great looking speaker. Having briefly used the original Soundlink, the new version is a worthwhile upgrade. New features include voice prompts, ability to have 2 devices paired at once, speakerphone and standard USB power cord. The only minor disappointment so far is that the USB power cord is shorter than the previous power cable. For some people this could be a major problem if an outlet isn't conveniently located. The short USB cable is probably a limitation the USB charging standard. Having NFC pairing would also be a nice addition (this allows many smartphones to easily turn on bluetooth and the speaker, pair and start playing music).

Just got this a few days ago and I absolutely love it. Great design, compact and sleek but offers a punch of sound. This thing gets pretty loud and offers great bass! I ordered in white and it matches my MacBook perfectly (I'm weird about that stuff haha) LOVE IT

A Bose Fan since the original "901's," after listening to "other" blue tooth mini's including the "Soundlink III," (some costing less) for me the choice was clear. The sound and portability of the Soundlink Mini Series 2 was superior at varying volume levels and music genres. Extremely satisfied with this purchase.

I originally bought the series 1 but the battery failed and traded up to the series 2. Both are great units, but the series 2 was the clear winner with Bluetooth answering and audio controls for pausing skipping etc. I bring this speaker everywhere! You name it! Home, work, from the beach to the backyard it's been everywhere. I'm a professional mechanic and I use it while working on cars and wherever I put it, that's where it stays thanks to the low center of gravity. If you want portability and sound quality look no further. I've tried others in the same price range, but this I believe is the undisputed champion. Good job Bose!
