I got this as a birthday gift 3 weeks ago. I wasn't sure how much I'd use it, but found myself carrying it with me everywhere. When it wasn't with me it's in my home office and use the speaker phone functionality more than I thought...it works great by the way. I'd give it 5 stars, but I'm having problems charging this via USB. I have a brand new HP machine with Windows 10. Other items charge via USB just fine, like a GoPro camera, iphone, etc, but the Soundlink Mini II won't. It will charge off of my old XP machine, and the wall charger of course. Perhaps there's a trick with Windows 10...I'm not sure what to do...

I purchased at a Bose outlet about two years ago as a refurbished unit. I use this as a portable speaker throughout my house to play music through my ipod. I use it in the bathroom when getting ready, working inside the house, outside or in the garage for background music. My stereo system / home theater is respectable (Denon, PSB, NAD) so being used to that kind of sound, I needed a Bluetooth speaker with a realistic sound quality I would be satisfied with. Happy to say this Bose Bluetooth speaker sounds great (for a Bluetooth speaker) - natural and easy on the ears with even emphasis throughout the low / mid / high range. The battery life is excellent. The build quality is solid - metal chassis. It is amazing how much sound comes out of such a small speaker. Good job Bose.

I've had this speaker for a while now and I absolutely love it! The sound quality is incredible for the small size of the device. Every time I listen, I feel spoiled, to be quite honest. What's more, after an unfortunate series of events I left it outside during a rainstorm and didn't remember it was there until I got back from vacation a week later! It still works absolutely perfectly despite being exposed to the elements for that time. Excellent work Bose! Super durable, excellent quality! Recommended highly!

Purchased SoundLink® Mini Bluetooth speaker II by paying $200+. The product is having issues with bluetooth pairing and the connectivity is spotty. I expect Bose to replace this product given that it is having manufacturing defect. My $20 bluetooth product from 2012 works perfectly fine. Very unexpectable from a Bose product that stands for exceptional quality

I purchased the SoundLink Mini II as an upgrade to version 1 mainly for the newly added feature of the speakerphone. While the sound is excellent, just like the previous generation, the unit I received doesn't seem to charge beyond 80%. I left it plugged in and charging overnight and when I checked the next morning it still says battery is 80%. Maybe mine is defective?

I actually have the original but wanted to post my experience. Love this little speaker. My wife and I jet ski every weekend in the summer. We prefer to anchor and relax in our floats for hours. I bunge this speaker to my handlebars and, voila, we have awesome tunes for the day. People are amazed when they come by us that so much sound is coming out of such a small package. Being on the water, on a calm day the sound really travels. We can be 50' away and still hear it clearly with impressive bass. Thinking of upgrading to the II series for the mike, would be nice to be able to take calls without having to get out of the water. My only concern is the battery life is starting to diminish. Wondering if the battery can be replaced?

This replaced a SoundLink Mini that I used as a computer speaker by running an audio cable from my sound card to the speaker AUX input. It works just like the original Mini except that the speaker hums (most likely a ground loop hum between the speaker power supply and the computer). I exchanged this for another Mini II and have the same result. Since this was not a problem with the original Mini it must be a flaw in the Mini II. There are comments on the internet from other users who have the same problem. Bose does not acknowledge the problem. The problem can be circumvented by disconnecting the power supply while the speaker is in use. Other than the above, both the original Mini and the Mini II are very nice compact wireless speakers.

I travel extensively for work. - This amazing piece of engineering marvel will blow your socks off! The quality is superb. Deep Full and Crystal Clear sound. Don't waste your time with anything else. Stop what you are doing and spend the money- You will be glad you did. It's worth every dollar. I have had my SoundLink® Mini Bluetooth® speaker II for over a year now and the unit sounds as well as it did the day I bought it. The battery life is excellent even after a year... The quality is that of what I have learned to expect from Bose after 30 plus years of enjoying their products. - You guys have knocked it out of the park! Size is perfect- take it everywhere! Fits in a small sling bag, lunch bag, backpack, purse... cargo pocket even, Bring it to your hotel room, bathroom, down to the outdoor seating area.. by the pool, patio, BBQ or in the stroller... Worked for a couple of years and now battery is flashing red. I hear it’s a common problem and very expensive to fix. I was told that I am not able to replace battery myself. Not good to your customers that such and expensive product goes bad so quickly with no recourse or t least not a cost effective one!

I have the 3rd replacement same issue will work perfect after 2 weeks battery will stop charging voice prompt will keep saying 30% even if you keep charging it for days not hard reset doesn't help at all !! Will return the product for refund it's useless to get and try the 4th unit! I hope Bose would get the bug on this product !
