I received this speaker as a present two years ago, and have been an avid user ever since. I don't understand how it's not rated 5 stars. Indoor it is amazing. I have two surround sound setups with Bluetooth capability and I still prefer this little guy. The range of sound is amazing, especially the bass (knocking the Beats Pill way out of the water). The connection itself is incredibly easy to setup, and even has an AUX port for those devices that don't have BT. Outside isn't as amazing, but I still have good results. I take it disc golfing and regular golfing, and the performance is still great. In a wide open area it is less impressive with the low range, but still great sound. Lastly, I drive a rock hauler (Caterpillar 769C) in a quarry. I don't have a radio in my truck so I bring my little Bose. It averages between 91-94 decibels at idle, so very loud, and I can hear the Bose no problem at 2/3-3/4 volume whether it be metal or a movie. This thing is awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a portable speaker!

I bought SoundLink Mini 2 some months ago and since the first time i tried streaming from my Ipad, Android phone or Laptop Lenovo, connected via bluethoot to Soundlink, it had problems, videos or playlist stopped and when troubleshooted I found my devices lost wifi connections. I thought it was my router wifi but last week I bought a new router and problems persist. I've changed wifi channels but my devices lost wifi connections when are connected to speaker. Everything is fine when I connect to aux port, but I bought this speaker to use without cables. I'm dissapointed with this Bose speaker, I have to carry the cable if I want to use it.

I shopped around to find a speaker that gave me sound that made me enjoy my music listening enjoyable. I found this one and it grab me and I couldn't believe it. I am using now as I am writing this review and I just can't believe my ears. Yes it's a bit more spendy, but if you're wanting sound to enjoy the way it should be heard this is it. Bose sound to me is the best and they out did themselves on this one. Take a listen to this and tell me you don't agree.

I bought this speaker on Christmas 2015, thus I am using it for a little more than one year and I absolutely love it. I wanted a small portable speaker with decent audio quality because I noticed that at home I do a lot of casual music listening with my portable devices that carry with me in every room, I listened to this product in a store and both my wife and I liked it right away. Before buying it I listened to other speakers in the same category, at the end I decided for this because I own another Bose product (the SoundWave) and for its pleasant aesthetic. I really like the sound of this little guy, you just cannot squeeze nothing more from something so small. Sometimes the bass are a little too overpowering but it is sufficient to change its position to get a more balanced sound. Of course because the two internal drivers are so close to each other you don't get any stereo separation, unless you pair to a computer and you put it right close to the keyboard. It is easy to use, easy to pair. There is no mic therefore you cannot use it to make calls if you are using a smartphone, but I do not need that feature. I appreciate that it remembers a lot of pairing devices, between me and my wife we have many smartphones, tablets and laptops around, it never failed to connect to any of them. Battery life is great, the charging cradle could be a nuisance if you travel (you just have to carry it with you instead of a simple USB cable), maybe this issue could be fixed in a next release. The look is great, we have the dark gray one and it is really non intrusive even on the bed stand where we put the charging cradle. It is small enough that fits well in the hand, the material is made of has a nice touch feeling. The bottom had a thick rubber pad to avoid scratching the surface where it stands, but it easily collects dust and small particles, I usually scrap it passing the palm of my hand before setting it down. Everything considered, I highly recommend this product.

To start, I have to say I'm a bit prejudiced in Bose's favor. I have long (decades) been a fan of their products and have tried other branding but usually aren't as satisfied with the results. Once again I am absolutely satisfied with this little gem. Its small. The size of a 7 inch shoe (good things do come in small packages so don't be offended if you have a 7" shoe). The sound is typically "Bose"- well balanced and surprising. Place this on the floor or under furniture and away for a bit more base. But even so it doesn't lack base wherever you place it. Though it does better overall at a distance or pointed away I think. I'm a purist. Bluetooth as a platform does not by any means transfer music from the source in the best quality and don't get me started on the dismal MP3 format. But none the less, preadjusted leveling and amplification is spot on. If you use an app that has leveling output and such, you can adjust this if you like but again, it isn't necessary. The only caveat is its weight. It's a hefty pound and a half. So don't go day hiking with it and all your other gear (ask someone else to carry it).

I've had this for about one month and love the sound quality and ease of use. I have been struggling with charging it recently though. Even though the indicator light says the unit is charging it doesn't progress past "battery low" or occasionally it's reaches 20% even after charging overnight. I tried the reset suggestion mentioned above but it didn't work for me. Other suggestions?

I have the mini 1 for about 2 years or more N I love it , is so perfect sounds great I would not buy anything else other than Bose I also have the cinema 15 n the Bose sound link , also I have the Bose system in my Maxima Car and I love them all , you guys make great products , Keep Up the great job you are doing with your Products they are GREAT!!!!

I've had my SLM II since it came out in 2015 and it's been perfect! Fairly light, easy to carry around. Sound is excellent for such a small speaker. No distortion. Have had it for 3 years and in just as good of shape as when I bought it. Also brought it camping a couple years ago and was worried about music being too loud for the neighbours, but the sound control is excellent. Noise was just in the direction away from the neighbours and quiet behind the speaker. Definitely recommend!

I bought this quite a long time ago, and every single song that I have played since has had such a more wholesome sound to it. Every single beat, note, and moment are absolutely amazing. Totally worth the splurge on the cost, and much better than the stupid Beats brand, I have gotten really bad products from them.

This little speaker packs a punch and if you place near a wall the lows really come out. I love the size, it's just a little bigger than the palm of your handThere's depth to the sound and for the size, it's great. If you want to fill up a 20x20 room then get the bigger speaker. Highly recommend this!
