I've had this speaker for about two years, using it as an external speaker for my television, which is in a small room. Under the circumstances, I have found the sound to be more than adequate. Mind you, it's not a home theater system, which I do have in another home and in a much larger room, but the sound is clear, full, and surprisingly rich. I also take this speaker on vacation with me, particularly on cruises so that I can enjoy real music. I recommend it for all such uses.

It sounds good .... It doesn't sound good. It sounds good .... It doesn't sound good. Then one day while holding the unit, I discovered what I consider a major design flaw. The product has a serious issue with off-axis frequency response. By off axis, I do not mean 45 degrees, but even 20 degrees I can notice a significant change in the frequency response and a loss of high and possibly even some of the mids. The sound becomes very flat even a bit off axis. This is what sometimes I think it sounds great, other times I find it very flat.

I travel a lot for work so I find myself catching up on shows that have been recorded via dvr while on the road. I got tired of the horrible sound from my laptop speakers and also the horrible sound from the hotel tv when I watch my shows through it via hdmi. So I went out and tried multiple speakers. Why, I don't know. It was a waste of time. I already own a sound link (it is to large to throw in my laptop case and drag around) so I knew the quality would be great. There is no other speaker around that will fill a hotel room with great sound like this mini 2 will. It is small enough to throw in your bag and super easy to setup when I'm on the road. I have done the research for you. Just get this one. Low end is great. You won't find it in any other mini portable. Midas and highs are great too. Very well balanced sound.

I travel extensively for work. - This amazing piece of engineering marvel will blow your socks off! The quality is superb. Deep Full and Crystal Clear sound. Don't waste your time with anything else. Stop what you are doing and spend the money- You will be glad you did. It's worth every dollar. I have had my SoundLink® Mini Bluetooth® speaker II for over a year now and the unit sounds as well as it did the day I bought it. The battery life is excellent even after a year... The quality is that of what I have learned to expect from Bose after 30 plus years of enjoying their products. - You guys have knocked it out of the park! Size is perfect- take it everywhere! Fits in a small sling bag, lunch bag, backpack, purse... cargo pocket even, Bring it to your hotel room, bathroom, down to the outdoor seating area.. by the pool, patio, BBQ or in the stroller... Love the sound and portability of my new mini I got 2 weeks ago- it has worked great taking to dance class, but has a mind of its own at home when I plug in my old iPod via the Aux connection. It will randomly stop playing music on its own, and I have to hit the power button a few times to get it to play again. Has been fully charged, so I am not sure what is going on. I will be disappointed if I have to return it.

Haved owned this for over 1 year, love the awesome sound & portability. Sadly with a 70% charge it got stuck with red flashing light indicating battery protection mode/low battery. I plugged into my imac and updated software & hope it will be more stable. After googling, I have discovered this seems to be a common issue. Fabulous sound but buyer beware...

I've had this speaker for a while now and I absolutely love it! The sound quality is incredible for the small size of the device. Every time I listen, I feel spoiled, to be quite honest. What's more, after an unfortunate series of events I left it outside during a rainstorm and didn't remember it was there until I got back from vacation a week later! It still works absolutely perfectly despite being exposed to the elements for that time. Excellent work Bose! Super durable, excellent quality! Recommended highly!

I had wanted something like this and have been so pleased with it. I just get Pandora Christmas music on my iPad and it is paired with this speaker and I can take the speaker anywhere in my 2000 sq. ft. main floor of my house and have this wonderful music. The tone is super and I love the smallness of it because it's easy to grab and place anywhere. A plus too that you can change the volume right at the speaker.

Having spent a very long time deciding on which wireless speaker to go for, I've opted for the SoundLink Mini II, though it was a hard decision to make. Bose deserve top marks for Sound Quality and Styling, both of which on the SoundLink Mini II would deserve 5 stars. However, the unit is let down by it's limited functionality. I really wanted to have the option to pair two units and run them in stereo (a function offered by a leading competitor) and I'm very disappointed that this revised updated mark II Bose won't do that ? (I'd just assumed that it would so as to keep up with the competition). So only 4 Stars awarded. If it had the software to allow pairing two units to run together in stereo then it would have got 5 Stars from me.

I’ve owned this speaker for two years and I’ve hated it almost the entire time. It is incredibly finicky: unreliable bluetooth connection, randomly announces its connection to devices repeatedly, skips occasionally, and at this moment refuses to connect to my iphone. The sound quality does not outweigh the frustration, not worth investing. I’ve never felt compelled to review anything before, but I’m so angry at this stupid thing right now that it felt like a disservice to keep it to myself.
