Excellent speaker!

This is my second SoundLink Mini speaker. I purchased the first generation several years ago and loved it. I then sold that to my son (for practically nothing) and bought the Mini II. I take this speaker everywhere. It connects very easily to any bluetooth device, the sound is amazing and it is built very well. I have purchased three of these as gifts for relatives and they all love it, too. I have also had four friends order one for themselves after listening to mine. Maybe Bose should hire me as a salesperson. If you are looking for something portable with good sound, buy this...you will not be disappointed.

Won't turn on without being plugged in again.

How is the fact that it will not turn on, if out of it's charger for more than fifteen minutes helpful? If you always have to have it in it's charger then it is not a bluetooth remote speaker. Sure it works if you plug it back in, but usually you are not where you can plug it back in, that is the point! I use mine golfing, and most of the time it will not turn on and will not work.

poor sound performance

i received this speaker as a gift from my family, as a bose person i have the home theater sistem 5.1 also the sound bar , considering bose as a top product, but i am very disappointed with the sound quality of this product, very sweet sound, lacking treble and crispy quality sound, i compared the sound with other product similar to bose bluetooh soundlink and the majority had better quality sound for even a lower price, i would not buy it , my family did.. if i could return it i will be glad to... it is not worth the price for the quality of sound, waste of money !!..

Great Sound Quality For A Tiny Speaker

I bought this speaker about a year ago, very satisfied with the sound quality, off course not to be compared with a bigger speaker, for example, my Companion III. I always have this speaker in my backpack on my business trip. Amazing sound quality for a tiny fellow. My disappointment is only to its connection, it disconnect frequently and it very annoying. A problem that I wouldn’t expect from a product with such high price.

Sound quality is great!

I was deciding between this model and the beats pills, but i was looking for sound quality, not design, so I decided for bose, and that was the best choise for me. I rather quality than design. I love my product, i use it for outside and inside. Sound is great, i have no problem with the battery. I love it!

Do not buy this.

This speaker would be perfect except for the fact that every couple weeks or so it spazzes out and starts breaking up. It sounds like when you're on the phone with someone and going into a dead zone- there are interruptions every couple of seconds. It is the most annoying thing you could ever experience while listening to music. I've done all the resets you could possibly imagine and nothing has worked. In a few days the problem goes away but then ends up coming back weeks later. This speaker is awfully inconsistent and it makes my blood boil.

Not a loud speaker

I just purchased the Bose mini sound link II limited edition. To be honest I was expecting more sound. after charging the speaker and looking through the manual i really wanted to find a solution to the sound , don't get me wrong the sound is good but I heard better from the competition i really wish this speaker would be capable of having a louder sound , it really bugs me that the bose speaker isn't independently uses its own volume it automatic used the volume of my I phone 6 plus

Absolutely outstanding!

To start, I have to say I'm a bit prejudiced in Bose's favor. I have long (decades) been a fan of their products and have tried other branding but usually aren't as satisfied with the results. Once again I am absolutely satisfied with this little gem. Its small. The size of a 7 inch shoe (good things do come in small packages so don't be offended if you have a 7" shoe). The sound is typically "Bose"- well balanced and surprising. Place this on the floor or under furniture and away for a bit more base. But even so it doesn't lack base wherever you place it. Though it does better overall at a distance or pointed away I think. I'm a purist. Bluetooth as a platform does not by any means transfer music from the source in the best quality and don't get me started on the dismal MP3 format. But none the less, preadjusted leveling and amplification is spot on. If you use an app that has leveling output and such, you can adjust this if you like but again, it isn't necessary. The only caveat is its weight. It's a hefty pound and a half. So don't go day hiking with it and all your other gear (ask someone else to carry it).

Issues with status light indicators and charging

Bought this a week ago and already exchanged for another unit and this has similar issues. Out of the box, charged over night and battery was 100% and connection to device was perfect. Played music (great sound) for about 6 hours and powered down. Next morning, pressed power and nothing - tried numerous times no luck. Placed back on cradle and it said low battery but immediately took it off the cradle it said 70%...figured a glitch so turned it on to connect and the battery status was green, went off but no white bluetooth status to indicate connected to my device but began to play sound - sounded fine just no status indicator lights. Placed unit on cradle to charge but no green or amber light to show charging status although the battery level was 70% -checked about 2hours later and battery was still at 70% so was not charging although when it was placed on the cradle, a brief green to amber on the power flashed and then went out. Did a factory reset and all appeared normal once I went through the steps to connect - power status began to flash amber as it was charging. Next morning, unit couldn't be turned on, so again had to place on cradle and reset. This is happening on the exchanged unit as well. Any suggestions or has anyone else experienced this? Frustrating...going to exchange again...

Great speaker, outstanding quality!

Bought this over a year ago and I have used it at work every single day for 6 hours minimum! This speaker is amazing! I am still using it and it works perfectly! Battery lasts around 6 hours on a charge! I would recommend Bose to anyone! Definitely will be purchasing more from here!
