Soundlink Mini II is a good bluetooth speaker. The only irritating problem is that the "Battery Protection Mode" has something wrong. The manual says "when the system is unplugged and unused for 3 days WITH a remaining charge of less than 10%, it enters battery protection mode to preserve battery power". But, in fact, the speaker will enter battery protection mode only if it is unplugged and unused for 3 days, regardless of remaining power level. Even though it is fully charged, it will enter that mode if I dont touch it for 3 days or more. My friends' ones also encounterd this problem, so that I think this is a software bug, and I dont think my problem can be solved by replacing a new one. I hope BOSE can fix this little but really irritating problem by updating firmware.

When used outside , for example: inside a bus or in a football match, it lacks volume, but when used inside this thing is insane big rooms can be covered with no problem, beats the every single other speaker you can think of. It does not distorts when it is in max volume and there is no single difference between bluetooth and aux which i thought there would be, bluetooth range is really great, 3 walls in between me and the soundlink and there was no problem. Finally everything sounds perfect, no matter what genre you like it will sound great. Undoubtedly it is awesome in every way. PD: the aluminium house scratches really, REALLY easily

Disappointed with this speaker. My brother and I received this speaker for Christmas a couple years back and several months after receiving the speaker both of our speakers would sometimes not turn on when we pressed the power button. At first I thought the battery had died and it needed to be charged, but whenever it was placed on the charger and immediately turned it on it would tell me that the battery was 60% or sometimes higher. It has only gotten worse over the past couple of years and now will not maintain bluetooth connection. In the middle of playing a song it will disconnect and then reconnect a few seconds later. I have to go and press the play button on my phone for it to begin playing again and then the same thing will occur several minutes later. The sound quality is great when it does play, I have absolutely no complaints about that. I just wish the power button would work when there is a charge and whatever I am using to play music through the speaker would remain connected (this happens with my phone, iPad, and other devices, so I don't believe my phone is the cause).

Hmm, Where do I begin, I know, AWESOME!! This speaker has a quality of sound that words really cannot explain. I bought this speaker over the weekend and haven't stop playing it yet. Who would think such a small, compact, light weight would put out such clarity, crisp, clear sound. Bose, ten thumbs up on this one!!!!! And pairing my phone, tablet and laptop was beyond simple, the voice command is easy to follow. The design of the charging base is well designed, no snaps or weird hooks to connect the two devices or having a architect to give you a hand. For those who are looking to get a Bluetooth speaker, don't snarl or sigh, just pony up the dough and buy one. You WILL NOT be disappointed!!!!

I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the sound produced by this unit. But a serious deficiency exists in it's compatibility - It does not seem to be Airplay compatible. An inability to send music from my Apple device to multiple speakers via Airplay is a big issue for me. The only reason I think of is Bose and Apple having a spat of some kind. Most quality speaker and sound device companies have gotten over Apple's position in the business and realized it is to their benefit to have their devices play nice with Apple's. I would love to have Bose or someone reading this review tell me I am wrong and there is a reasonably cost efficient way to resolve this.

I love this speaker .. I use it when i go out or when im at home .. The battery lasts me for a good week and half .. I recomend this speaker for any one .. Best sound and high quality meterials .. I trust bose and cant go wrong with them .. Best for your money i would say.

I have owned several high end speakers, including the cheaper knockoff and highly overpriced Beats and this is by far the best yet.This speaker is amazing! The sound volume is great and the sound quality is fantastic. The build is awesome as well, very solid and durable speaker. From 1 to 10 in ease of use and set up i give it a 1 (1 being the easiest) Don't believe reviews that say that it is complicated. If you have used bluetooth before then it will be even easier than other items, if you have not then of course it will be tricky but still easy. The bluetooth is literally one button one press and whatever setup is on your phone and you are done. I am very happy and very highly recommend this item.

My purchase occurred at Bose.com on 08-June-2015. As an experienced audiophile, the SoundLink Mini II delighted my listening expectations using my favorite test track, "Enamored" by Bella Sonus. However, I can't award this model five (5) stars because of a POWER-ON FLAW... Here's what happens: When not used for a few days (Left fully or partially charged), this model won't respond to a POWER-ON button press... it acts as if the rechargeable BATTERY IS DEAD!!! The only way to "Wake it up" is to start charging it for a few seconds, stop charging and re-try POWER-ON... which works then as it should!

We purchased the mini several weeks ago primarily to use as a speakerphone. We make all of our long distance calls from our iPhones. The iPhone speaker leave something to be desired when using as a speakerphone so both of us can talk and listen. What a perfect solution.

There are a ton of these devices out there, with a large range of price points, so I was hugely flattered when I received this unit as a gift, because BOSE has an outstanding reputation in audio. That said, every time I use this unit, it is a fumbling perplexity. It just does not easily pair/find the bluetooth source (and, that's why I got it - not to hardwire it). Literally every time I use it, it struggles to pair with the (previously paired) sources. Buzz kill. The sound is fantastic once it's up and running, but then.... don't try to use it for more than 3-4 hours unplugged (or just plain leave it unplugged for a day with no use). Then it dies and takes at least 30 minutes to get back an initial charge to start it up again. Party foul. Really, BOSE has an amazing (earned) reputation in sound and this unit reflects that. However, the everyday usability and other hardware/firmware components do not fulfill the cost-value promise. In short... Please work on it, BOSE, because you have the hardest, most important part figured out. I just want to pair and play, please!
