I purchased the Soundlink Mini II after BOSE finally built speaker phone capability into it. I have been delighted with its performance. As with all BOSE products, less is more. So long as you keep any software equalizer settings at or below 2 DB while keeping its volume output at or below 80 percent to avoid overdriving the speaker, the quality of its sound reproduction is phenomenal. The unit's ease of pairing to Bluetooth devices was unexpected but much appreciated. The speaker has performed so well that it will replace my main desktop system. I agree with every online review I have read that there is no other Bluetooth speaker system in this class that is equal to or better then the Soundlink Mini II.

My kids gave us a speak for our birthdays and we just love it! Great sound and took it on a cruise so we could have our own music in our cabin or on our verandah. Love it! But here is the best part! We have had purple martin gourds for three years with no birds. Was going crazy seeing all of the martins in our neighbor's gourds. Then, I turned on my speaker and played purple martin songs from the Audubon app and voila -- some of them moved over to our house. Don't know what the bird sounds said, but it worked. If you can fool a purple martin into thinking he is really hearing other martins, it has to say something about the quality of the sound from the speaker.

I like the speakers and they sound great for the size. Unfortunately, there is a "shipping mode" on the battery that kicks in after about a week. It prohibits turning on the speakers unless plugged in for a bit. Thus, you are forced to take your charger with you. This defeats the purpose of a long battery life. Bose is aware of this, as they designed it, and still haven't come up with a fix. They need to do so and it deserves a mediocre rating until fixed.

I own numerous Bose products and I can tell you that not all of their offerings may be the best value (e.g. non-Acoustimass home theater center and rear channel speakers) but I can tell you that this speaker ranks up there with Bose's best-of-the best products. OK, the battery life is not the longest but its sound quality and output levels make that a moot point. Additionally, I dropped the speaker from a height of three to four feet and it still works perfectly. If in the market, also consider their outdoor, computer, stereo and earbud speakers as they are of the highest quality just like their Wave radio and Acoustamass offerings. What a great company.

i bought this just under a year ago and it had worked so well up until recently...It no longer turns on or connects to my phone, I've tried everything to get it to work again from software updates to taking it to be done properly and still it wont work please do not get this speaker

The SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker is a piece of trash. It worked for a month then it quit charging. Sent back to factory for repair. Upon its return, a charge was held for 2 months. Then it quit charging again. This is nothing more than a very expensive paperweight. I would expect a far better product from Bose than this product.

Received the SoundLink Mini II last week and am very happy with it so far. Bose is known for engineering incredible sound in devices with small footprints and the SoundLink Mini II is no exception. I have listened to everything from acoustic folk, to Stan Getz, to Tom Petty, to Vivaldi's Four Seasons, to the rich booming score of Out of Africa - all sound fantastic. Yes, it's not true stereo, but the clarity, range and bass are pretty impressive. The speaker has good heft and a sleek design. It took less than a minute to set up and connect to my IPod. I realize this speaker has been around for several years, but for me, the sound quality, easy set up and price point make it an excellent value. I like simplicity and couldn't care less about voice control or other bells and whistles.

I bought this speaker just over a year ago. I keep it at work and don't use it very often. I come back from being on vacation and find that it won't take charge. The light blinks as if it is charging but after being plugged in for 8 hours it still says battery low when turned on. I am very disappointed!!!

I'm so happy that i bought the sound link mini 2. It has the best quality and clear sound and the bass is also clear. It is also safe to use it at a sandy beach be careful of water but sand doesn't go inside the speaker. the best way to use the speaker is inside but still if you take it outside its still has clear sound and for a small speaker like that it is still the best speaker.

Sound quality is excellent and is the best in it's class or even anything double to triple the size. Very accurate reproducing sound with excellent detail. Seems identical in sound quality to the first mini which is perfectly ok. The new features are welcomed but still lacking a couple things. Would really like to see the ability to link 2 of these together. Bose, you will sell more speakers to you do this, make it happen. The soundlink 3 is a little louder (at triple the size it should be) but I think the mini sounds better overall.
