Incredible sound from a small package!

Bought this a few months ago as a speaker for my phone. I use it way more than I thought I would. I even have it paired to my computer. The sound quality is excellent. Has decent bass reproduction and clear highs. Battery life is very good. If your looking for a great bluetooth speaker look no further.

Great Speaker

I bought this speaker two weeks ago and i'm happy with the sound quality and the performance, it's my first Bose product and i'm already impressed by the brand, I think I'll be a long time customer, sound is great, control are very good, the charging duck is very handy, the soft case is just perfect, the voice prompts is very useful. my only complain about this beautiful piece of art is: the audio call only work with the phone call! i'm using iPhone 5, iOS 8.4, all the free call apps I use are not working withe the speaker! Facebook messenger free call, Google Hangout, Line, Skype ets, and I wonder why, I've tried every thing, updating the speaker software, do the right configuration, etc, yet those apps was working good before with my sheep speaker with the same phone sitting, I also tried to use it with android, my friend phone, "Galaxy Note 4" and the same thing happened! I really enjoy the calls using the speaker, I hope for a fix for that issue, soon other than that, was, and still, perfect buy

Great Sounds but ...

I was happy when I bought my Bose Sound link mini II. last Sep 2015. Sounds was great & has a long 8 hrs of battery. BUT I just realized today April 2016 that this expensive piece of equipment is NOT compatible with Voice memos application. So don't buy it until this issue is solved. The cheaper Bose bluetooth color mini has no compatible issue with voice memos application at all. So I would NOT expect that the more expensive Bose Soundlink mini bluetooh speaker II would be missing this feature. I have high hopes for Bose product so I hope the Bose technical team could send out an update to fix this issue. Or you could still buy it if you don't plan to use voice memo.

Great Sound, Limited Battery Life

The sound from the Soundlink Mini is amazing. I primarily use it while playing golf at moderate volumes. I have found, however, that the battery life is extremely limited. If connected to an iPod or iPhone using Bluetooth the speaker will not last the entire round (4 to 4.5 hours). I have connected the speaker using a cable, which does extend the battery life for the entire round, but just barely as the battery life indicator is in the "red" after 4.5 hours. I give this 5 stars for sound quality, but would give it 3 for battery life so settled on 4.

Sound is excellent but connectivity is terrible

There are a ton of these devices out there, with a large range of price points, so I was hugely flattered when I received this unit as a gift, because BOSE has an outstanding reputation in audio. That said, every time I use this unit, it is a fumbling perplexity. It just does not easily pair/find the bluetooth source (and, that's why I got it - not to hardwire it). Literally every time I use it, it struggles to pair with the (previously paired) sources. Buzz kill. The sound is fantastic once it's up and running, but then.... don't try to use it for more than 3-4 hours unplugged (or just plain leave it unplugged for a day with no use). Then it dies and takes at least 30 minutes to get back an initial charge to start it up again. Party foul. Really, BOSE has an amazing (earned) reputation in sound and this unit reflects that. However, the everyday usability and other hardware/firmware components do not fulfill the cost-value promise. In short... Please work on it, BOSE, because you have the hardest, most important part figured out. I just want to pair and play, please!

Welcome improvements to Soundlink-Mini

I've had the original Soundlink-Mini for over a year, and I'm always amazed at the sound quality, even though I wished it had speakerphone capability and a battery meter. My wishes come true in the Mini II, at the same price! Now I need to give my old one as a gift, and get the improved version. Someone is about to get lucky! By the way, folks who have volume issues, first turn up the volume on your source (e.g., cell phone).

Great Indoor Speaker

This is a great indoor speaker but if you plan on using it outside for a bbq or a pool party, this speakers are awful. I don't know what it is, but once these speaker go outside they sound hollow. I think mainly because these speakers are designed to work with the walls in your house where as on the outside, it is wide open. I recently purchase the UE Booms instead mainly for the outdoor use. I think they sound much fuller outside.

Great speaker but having issues with calls

I travel a lot for work and this speaker is great for portability with it's size and ease of use. The only issue I have is with the microphone. A large reason I purchased this specific brand and model is because of the calling feature for conference calls, but I can't use it because nobody can understand what I'm saying. I'm told that I sound like I'm underwater. Is this a manufacturing defect or have there been issues with other devices?

BOSE, as usual, AWSOME sound!

Bose did it again, small but powerful. Love the small compact unit and booming sound quality, "but" if your looking for convenience, this is not the unit. I use this speaker in a exercise room with a flat screen TV, in order to adjust the volume when the sound of equipment goes up, you will have to get off the equipment, walk over to the speaker to turn it up, or back down. This REALLY needs a remote volume control!
