I bought one of these speakers for my husband for Christmas. He loves it! As others have wrote in reviews that there spouses have taken over there speaker. Well I didn't take his over but I did purchase one for myself. You can't believe the "big" sound that comes out of this little speaker. Other pluses are -connecting via Bluetooth is simple! We've had other wireless speakers where you would have to disconnect and forget the saved Bluetooth speaker from you device before someone else could pair with it. Thanks for such a great product!

Years I've said I'd never buy any Bose product but I'm eating my words today. The sound is so rich. I switch between R&B or Rock and I am so thrilled! My system in my VW Beetle 2007 is beginning to give me grief and with the long life battery, I can do 6 hours easily with battery juice left over from friends to home. I LOVE this in the black and the photos cannot do it justice!

I purchased this about 2 months ago and have been using it in an office environment at work. I keep the volume low so as not to disturb co-workers and am impressed with the full deep sound it creates even at very low volume. I also use it in my truck and set it on the floor on the passenger side. Amazing sound and clean even at a high volume although it can distort a little depending on the song and if volume is pushed too high. I love the sleek compact design. I also have the protective soft cover and travel bag making it very convenient to carry around. I only have two issues. While the speakerphone is a nice feature. There is no way to disable it. I stream music from my phone and I don't want phone calls to be broadcast over the speaker for co-workers to hear. I have to either be within arms reach of the speaker to quickly turn it off before answering or shut off Bluetooth on my phone quickly before answering. Then go back and re-connect to Bluetooth to start listening again. Annoying if I get several calls during the day. The other issue is there doesn't seem to be any visual or audio cue to let you know exactly where the volume level is. Am I at 50%?, 100%? etc. I have to play around a little with both the volume of the speaker and my phone to get it right. Otherwise a very good speaker. Recommended.

This is the best speaker I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. It is by far the clearest sound I've ever heard out of anything, and competes easily with professional monitors. The bass is powerful enough to shake the surface it's sitting on and feels VERY tactile in the hand. HOWEVER! This is still a very VERY small machine, and therefore has a very small sound. A previous reviewer who said to place the speaker near a wall is correct, and there are other things that can be done to expand the sound. I recommend this for portability: 10/10. But it cannot replace a good pair of monitors, even though the sound might be as good. Also, remember that this isn't terribly "stereo." Even though is does have two high/mid range drivers, they are so close together physically that it's hard to notice the difference from any distance. In other words, Bose hit it out of the park for clarity and bass. Features all work almost flawlessly as well, but it is still a small bluetooth speaker. It's the BEST small bluetooth speaker in the world, but there you are.

So, far I am happy with the mini bose. Even though I knew its a mini/small I still was thinking it was little bit bigger in size. I couldn't make up my mind to buy Bose mini or Sonos Play 1. I love that I can move it around so easily. Some people complained that the charger stopped working too soon. I hope by not over charging it or leaving on the docking station can help last longer. When I charge my labtop once it reaches 100% I take it off the charge until it hits 20%. Now, my daughter once one because she said it sounds better than hers! I told of course it does because she has a cheap one from Walmart. You have to pay $$$$ to get quality sound. Since this is portable you don't really need to buy more through out the house since you can reposition the mini speaker.

I like the speakers and they sound great for the size. Unfortunately, there is a "shipping mode" on the battery that kicks in after about a week. It prohibits turning on the speakers unless plugged in for a bit. Thus, you are forced to take your charger with you. This defeats the purpose of a long battery life. Bose is aware of this, as they designed it, and still haven't come up with a fix. They need to do so and it deserves a mediocre rating until fixed.

This is my second SoundLink speaker, but my first "Mini". This thing rocks. Its my favorite of the SoundLink devices I have owned so far. MUCH lighter, and smaller. Probably why it's the called mini. Honestly it sounds better then my old one, while being about two thirds the size and weight. Bluetooth system is also much improved. Switching between devices is way easier with this model.

I have both versions of this speaker, and the II has many improvements in connectibility and still has great sound, particularly if placed on a wood surface such as a table or chest of drawers--the bass is amazing for the size and it is extremely clear. If you want to damage your hearing, buy big speakers, but for the portability, sound, Bluetooth functionality, this is worth every penny. It goes with me in my suitcase on most trips.

We've had this, maybe a year. The lights on top no longer come on when the speaker is on, they stopped after 3 months. When you turn it on, it can say, until it dies, that the battery is at 60%, sometimes a different number, it never goes down is my point. It will die, then you know it needs charged. It's done that for the last 6 months. Currently it sometimes won't turn on, leaving me to believe that I neglegted to turn it off. However, after setting it on the charger and turning it on, it will say it's at 60% battery. With that being said, the sound is amazing, it was easy to set up, we've used it outdoors and thought the sound quality was excellent. I would purchase this again, however I'd make sure to also purchase anew extended warranty.

Took it out of the box and I was a bit disappointed , it was small! BUT.... I pushed play ... and was stunned .. all I could think was.... WOW...... such amazing sound in a tiny box .. Bose is amazing .. and I received it in 1 day .. literally. Every time I pay for extra shipping it NEVER comes in on time.. but Bose delivered! I'm super happy ...
