You have to use the Google Home app for notifications and alerts. The biggest downside is a monthly or yearly fee to keep the recordings past a few hours and to use advanced features. Just another cost in an already packed expense-filled life.

The two-way audio is clear, and the camera blends nicely into any room. Some advanced features require a Nest Aware subscription, but overall it’s a reliable, high-quality indoor camera. Would recommend.

This one was easy to install and so was the app. It's small enough to put almost anywhere. The camera footage was too notch as well. Got the whole living room area and can pick up sound and picture very well. Highly recommend
