I’ve been using Gillette razors practically my whole life. But never invested in an expensive blade. This razor is a game changer for me. Normally after I have a beard for any length of time and shave again my face gets the crap beat out of it. Red splotchy marks everywhere and I literally need 24/36 hours for it to calm down without looking like I’ve got some skin disease. This pic was taken 5 minutes after shaving. I had a full months beard on my face. I’m an actor, and shaved specifically to put myself on tape tomorrow for a possible job. I shaved tonite to give my face time to “calm down”. I could have shot the video this instant if I wanted to. Game changer. Sometimes more expensive is actually better. I’ll never use a cheap blade again. Thank you Gillette!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow ! So I have tried just about every razor over past 15 years. This one is absolutely the cleanest shave and it’s extremely comfortable. The build quality and weight is immediately felt the moment you take it out of the packaging. You also get a heavy stand for it. This is great because rather then just laying my razor in the cupboard it has a upright stand that looks and feels nice. It’s Functional and stylish.

This razor is very smooth on my face and does not get hair stuck between the blades like some other razors I have used in the past. The stand keep my countertop clean from shaving cream and from sticking to the counter everyday. Definitely recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this GilletLabs with Exfoliating Bar Razor to replace my old Mach 3 that i've had for years and I was super pumped the day that it arrived. I was looking forward to finally having a new razor with an exfoliating bar and also to finally have a magnetic base for my razor! (which is probably the 2nd coolest feature of this product after to the exfoliating bar =) The first few times I used this razor I did notice a closer shave, so much so that I noticed I could almost go and extra day without shaving versus the standard 2 days I was used to with my Mach 3. However, during a couple of these initial shaves I did have the unfortunate event of cutting myself with the razor when trying to shave just below my nostrils since I believe this razor simply has 1 too blades and can't adequately fit into and shave small spaces like the stubble just below my nose. So while I still use this razor for 90% of each of my shaves i've resorted to using my Mach 3 for the hard-to-get-to areas on my face to avoid cutting myself. So other than the "1 too many blades" concern above, I am still very happy with this razor and do enjoy the close shave, exfoliating bar, and magnetic base that it comes with. If they offered a smaller version of this razor with 1 or 2 less blades i'd buy it in a heart beat. But don't get me wrong this is still a great razor and worthy of at least 4 stars! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both the handle and the dock for this razor are made of a very solid, hefty metal. They do not feel cheap at all. The handle has a nice anti-slip texture where you would place your fingers and the razor head release is very positive. The 4 way pivoting head is a nice addition, moving forward to back and tilting from left to right. The 5 blades of the razor are clean and sharp, as I have come to expect from Gillette. Also included is the rear side detailing razor for the sideburns, etc. This is a feature that I think should be standard on all high end razors. I can't speak as to whether or not the exfoliating bar on the razor makes much of a difference for me. What I can say is that the overall feel and performance of this razor is that of high quality. This razor is definitely worth putting on your list and would be well received by a loved one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This razor is good if you want a razor with some extreme exfoliation. It does make the actual shaving part a little harder from the extra friction. I don’t necessarily need that much exfoliating but i’d that’s what you’re looking for this is great.

Not really sure that the exfoliating bar does much, but that part of my skincare/shaving routine was already pretty dialed in when I started using it. The stand it comes with is very handsome/handy too. Came with two cartridges, so I haven't had to buy any replacements yet and am not sure how difficult they'll be to come by. My only complaint is that, while the articulation of the actual razor is really nice (and kind of impressive), it's a little too flexible/has too little resistance -- makes getting the top of my mustache (right under the nostrils) kind of difficult.

Not as good as Gillette wants you to think. I use this razor every other day. After the shave with hot water, I find patches that were not cut, go back and shave them, but my face always feels scruffy after. I never feel like I’ve gotten a clean smooth shave from these razors. It is extremely disappointing. My face always looks like it’s unshaven after using the Gillette brand razors. My face gets cut more than the hair. Maybe it’s time to go back to my straight razor or give Harry’s and Dollar Shave Club a try.

I have tried several different razors and have not really found one that I really like. I tried this one and so far so good. I will get another one when it is time to. Clean smooth shave, and so far no break out.
