The only reason I removed a star is because the blades have the weirdest slime pad on the top and it gets pretty gooey while shaving. The price of the blades is also abhorrent. Other than that, a great razor.

It cuts about as well as any other Gillette razor, which is a bit better than your typical D2C razor. But this razor did surprise me. Straight out of the package, the razor is solid and well made. The magnetic stand is a nice little touch. This razor is feels good and cuts well. The razor made my neck feel silky smooth and clean. You only get on disposable blade with the razor and refills do cost a bit, I'm willing and happy to pay for quality and performance. I feel this razor is well worth every penny if you're an average shaver wanting a better experience.

I've happily used Gillette products for decades starting with Blue Blades. Lately I have been quite happy iwht the newer item s. HOWEVER, when I bought refills they now longer fit on my handle. lTurns out the company introduced a new product with a lightly changed handle design, so their new bardes will not fit on the older handle. I can think o now reason for them to do this; unless they hope we'll buy the wrong blades and then have to go back and buy the rights ons--they make an extra sale.
