Noise level is too loud!

Cooking/heating is fine. The noise level of the exhaust fan is way to loud. Would return it if I could.

Hi. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG MVEM1825X Microwave. We appreciate you letting us know how the exhaust fan has sounded in your space, and we understand how the noise level can influence your overall comfort while cooking. The fan will automatically adjust its speed based on heat and ventilation needs, and confirming that the unit has proper clearance and that the filters are clean can help it operate more smoothly. Don't waste your money.

I have had this microwave for just a few months. I want to echo what others have said. The fan is loud. Our microwave does not have built in exhaust that is piped out, so the fan blows through the front vent. Also, just today, the light went out. I looked at the bulb, but I don't see any issue. So, I'm not sure what the issue is.

Hi, Wes. We appreciate you sharing your experience with your LG MVEM1825X Microwave, and we want you to feel confident in how your new unit operates in your kitchen. A stronger‑than‑expected fan sound can happen when the microwave is venting through the front grille, and the first few uses may make the airflow seem more noticeable. For the light issue, checking the bulb seating and performing a quick power reset can help determine whether the socket or internal wiring needs attention. Our guide also explains the types of sounds you may hear during normal operation: https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-microwave-troubleshooting-noises--20152329269153 If you’d like us to take a closer look at the light or walk through additional steps together, feel free to reach out to lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. Purchased on 16 January 2025, Sam’s Club installed after a four-week delay by the contractor. Worked fine until 23 January 2026. Failed with a loud buzz, and went dead. The purchase date applies to the warranty, not the install date. No help from LG Electronics. Microwave died on 23 January, seven days past the warranty. Now looking for a new microwave, LG is NOT on the list. Unable to give a 0 Star rating. I would not recommend purchasing this product.

Hi, Steve. Thank you for taking the time to share what happened with your LG Microwave (MVEM1825D) model. We understand the importance of having a microwave that stays reliable well beyond the first year.

For a unit that suddenly produced a loud buzz and then lost power, one helpful step is to check the dedicated circuit the microwave is connected to. Microwaves require a stable, properly rated circuit, and a tripped breaker or overloaded line can cause the unit to shut down completely. Resetting the breaker and ensuring the outlet is functioning can sometimes bring the unit back online. For more guidance, visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-microwave-oven-troubleshooting-no-power-issue--1429709038316. We’d like to take a closer look at your case. Please send us an email at lgdigitalcare@lg.sprinklrsupport.com. Our team will be ready to assist you further. ^Juvy
