At first I had problems assembling, but then I figured it's all preset. The lines on the poles are where the black pieces snap together. Makes every shelf the exact distance from each other for the storage bins to fit. I assembled by myself, would have been faster if I waited for my husband, but I was excited to receive and needed to store and organize some things in the garage. I'm ordering maybe 2 more, i loved it that much, especially because of the wheels.

I was pretty worried as I bought five or six of these things before there were any reviews, and didn't put them together until I saw the bad reviews- long outside of the return window. Thanks to the reviews, I was prepared when putting them together. I suggest having a good roll of electrical tape ready to go. when you put the two plastic pieces together and fit them to the groove on the pole, use electrical tape to stretch around it, pulling it together. I put about two revolutions of tape on each one. Because the electrical tape stretches, there are no wrinkles and it really pulls the two plastic pieces together well. I never had any issues putting it together doing it that way. I did use a mallet to tap the shelves down a bit more. they don't fully sit on the plastic pieces, but I'm not sure that that's a big deal. They're holding and that's all that matters to me. I'll come back and revisit this review if anything happens, but so far it's fine. Four stars because people shouldn't have to come up with some solution because a product isn't manufactured well enough on its own.Also, there's really no excuse because shelving is about all this company does. I don't know how they got this wrong. I do plan to put one more tub on top. just stacked on the top tub but it will be something light like blankets.

I can't stand up very long, so I put most of it together sitting on a chair. I did wrap electric tape around the little pieces that snap together, and I did tap each shelf down with a rubber mallet. I used the wheels but am keeping the leveling feet in case I want to add heavier items later. I found the whole process very easy and am going to get a second unit soon.

This was very disappointing. The directions don't clearly show that the shelf has an up and a down due to the corners needing to slide over the plastic grommets. You install the plastic halves of these grommets around each corner pole. The grommets DID NOT snap together around the pole making it difficult to slide shelf over the grommets. This process ultimately keeps the shelf in place and the shelf unit stable. There are no markings to help align each of the 4 corners for each of the 4 shelves…After some semblance of assembly, trying to move the unit without it coming apart or shelves sliding down was impossible. Good luck if you decide to save money purchasing this piece.

Nothing like stacking my stackable storage boxes on a stackable storage shelf to make them double stackable. If it wasn’t for this stackable storage shelf, I would have to move 3 boxes to get my bottom Christmas box, once a year, for the rest of my life!

Needs more reinforcement on the shelfs. Would also be good if the poles had twice the number of notches as I have variation in tote sizes and so could more efficiently utilize the shelves.

Thanks Ruby for your suggestion on using tape. I used black electrical tape and it worked great. I don't even have to remove it because it barely shows. Directions were simple and to the point.

They are very easy and fast to assemble. I love that I can roll them anywhere I need. They fit the 27 gallon totes great but if there is a lot of weight to the tote the shelf wires will bend. I have totes that fit in the weight they say it can hold but it bent the wires. Luckily I have several totes that needed storage but unfortunately I can't use it for the ones I originally planned to use it for.

I bought this 4 tier rack system to initially store totes of dog food and treats, but the 27 gallon totes I am using didn’t allow me to easily access the dog food while on the shelf with limited access to food and weight restrictions. I did use this 4 tier rack system to store cleaning supplies and small cleaning gadgets. I was very easy to assemble and the instructions are very easy to understand. I think if I used smaller size totes for food storage it would have worked perfectly. As the old motto

I like the shelving very much and my tote fit on perfect. I ordered the shelving with the wheels so I can move it by myself. The problem is I don't how to put the wheels on the shelving.
