They were kind of all sticky and stuck to each other, but they have a sugar coating and a slickness to all of the pieces. I notified the company with the batch number, but haven't heard back yet.

I have to be honest, I am not a huge fan of the taste, but I take them happily knowing that they have helped so much. The energy that I have now is also an added bonus.
