The flexible hose on the portable unit has a habit of not staying secure in the window exhaust housing. The 3M Heavy Duty Duct Tape provided the perfect solution. It keeps the flexible hose secure AND the white tape blends in with both the flexible hose and the window exhaust housing.

I had no worries of the lights or battery pack fallen off. The tape did its job!

For this 3M level 4 duct tape in white: Pros: - Good size roll: allowing quite a long way before having to switch rolls, also means less paper core waste. - Slightest hint of beige: it is a lot easier on the eyes compared to the bright white ones I have before. - On the thin side: at first I thought it was a con as I’m used to thick tapes. Now that I have tried using it, I find it very easy to conform it to even odd shaped items. As a bonus, the white tape also allows me to trace designs underneath for when I’m using it for crafting purpose. - Maintain well under the sun: to test the product, I have stick it in plastic and left it under the sun for more than a week straight. I’m pleasantly surprised to find that there is no significant change in color, it did not lift, and even more surprised to find no residue when I tried to remove it. Cons: - The tear does not always come out to be a clean line. - Not much, but if I have to pick, the relatively thin build could translate to occasional wrinkles on the tape, which could easily resolved by simply giving it a light stretch while applying. Overall, it is a well-rounded, sturdy and versatile product for general uses. I have received this duct tape from 3M to evaluate and I am very glad to discover its properties and to come up with various new usages. It’s a product I would recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With several projects around the house, I readily began using the 3M Heavy Duty Duct Tape. I first used it to replace several sections of older black duct tape that was used as part of the installation of an indoor central heating and air system. The previous duct tape had lost its adhesiveness causing the HVAC lines to no longer stay coupled together. I replaced several sections with the 3M Heavy Duty Duct Tape - multi-use duct tape. The tape torn easily both horizontally and vertically. It has been several days and - thus far - the adhesive has been holding the HVAC lines together (which include metal, plastic, and foam) - with the exception of one end that had become loose. This may have been user error, but I thought I was careful. While working in tight areas, the tape is flexible. I must note that the tape can fold in on itself and become stuck together. If it folds together, it tends to stay together and becomes unusable. While this tape is for indoor purposes only, I used it on a vinyl outdoor smoker cover – which is under a covered area – that had become worn. The 3M Heavy Duty Duct Tape has thus far stayed adhered to the vinyl surface. While I would have preferred a less glossy surface on the duct tape, the glossy color is not a hindrance for my current projects. After using, I have noticed that the product appears to be thinner and more stretchy than previous “duct tape” that I have used with a vinyl feeling, glossy outer surface. Compared to previous “duct tapes,” this duct tape appears to be more for indoor maintenance project and does not appear to be “heavy” duty – in my opinion. But again, the product is for indoor use only - which should be on the packaging for brick-and-mortar customers. However, it is mentioned in the online description.

Fixing a toy, protecting edges on counters, wrapping the foam corners on my lawn mower.The product is thin but, that being said it is easy to use. It seems to be very strong and sticks very well. I picked red because I was going to use it in places that need a bright color for visibility.
