I really liked the idea of a foam mattress. It immediately expanded to its full size, which is approximately 5". I put the zippered covers on immediately, but then noticed a strong latex/chemical odor. Determined to make this mattress work, I took all the covers off, (their were 3 included,) and let it stand in a upright position for 5 days. I put the covers back on and the water proof mattress cover and sheet I purchased and it is perfect! I love the firmness of it, you just have to be patient and buy it and plan to use it immediately.

This mattress does contain fiberglass. I called the Storkcraft company that wal mart and graco refers you to call. They manufacture it and say they follow all safety standards and it does contain fiberglass. I have one and it seems nice. Was going to order a 2nd one until I found out it contains fiberglass and I will NOT order a 2nd. I will be throwing away my first. This mattress came with some cribs I purchased for my twins. I was surprised they were in the box with the cribs the packaging was that small. I unrolled the mattresses and let them sit out for a couple of days to expand. By the end of the 48 hr period we put the cribs together and the mattresses in and I went online that night and ordered one for my toddler. My toddler seems to fall asleep so much faster on this mattress than with her other toddler bed. Also, I wanted to add that the mattress that came with the cribs did have a strong odor at first but it was completely gone by the second day and the single mattress that I ordered didn't have the smell at all.

I really wished I would have read the recent reviews from 2017 before this mattress was purchased. Like others have said this mattress does not fully expand in 48 hours. It has been a week now and the ends still haven't fully risen. Most of the mattress has but the ends..not so much. They are mishapen. I did everything it said to do , rolled it out, took the plastic off, and let it lay flat. I even figured just to make sure I would give it more time. This mattress isn't as thick as it seems online. I think that the company has changed the product since all of those good reviews a few years ago, cheaped out. It did not come with a waterproof cover either. I am going to have to try and buy something else to put underneath it because it isn't all that thick. Overall I am not impressed and would not recommend this product. I expected better quality from Graco.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll admit I was a bit skeptical when I received the item, I didn't think a foam mattress would work for an infant. I could not have been more wrong! The mattress comes super compressed in a box. This makes it easy to transport in a small car if you do not choose home delivery. It is also lightweight, which made getting it upstairs a breeze. Set up was also easy. I comes in the outer cover, which you have to take off. Then you put on the flame resistant cover, then put the main cover back on. The outside cover is sooo soft to the touch. The very inner layer seems to be waterproof, but there have been no major spills to test that theory just yet. The mattress itself is very firm for an infant, and my 7 year old laid on it too to test it and he agreed it was very comfy. Also, I laid on it for a bit too, just to make sure it would keep it's shape, and it did. With just the baby, it doesn't indent at all, so I don't have to worry about a suffocation concern. This is a very nice mattress and I highly recommend!

I was looking forward to having this mattress but after receiving it I have to give it a fair rating. I would like to rate it as poor but because the mattress is firm and otherwise as described, I gave it an extra star to fair. This mattress comes vacuum sealed in a narrow rectangular box. You have to carefully remove packaging as not to cut the mattress (the plastic is thick and you have to cut into it which can make it easy for you to cut the mattress- I didn't cut mine thankfully). I can appreciate that they want to vacuum seal an item to make it easier to transport and save on packaging material, but the problem is that when you take it out the box and then cut through the plastic, it is a very flat mattress. You have to lay it down and give it time to expand to it's size (which I believe is about 6"). One side of the mattress never expanded, the shorter side. It remained flat about 2". I bought another one to see if the first was defective, but no - the same thing happened with the second one this time staying flat on the longer side of the mattress about 3" expansion only. It's unfortunate because the mattress feels firm and comfortable. It looks great and seems to be good quality but the foam not expanding as it should, makes this a poor product. Next time I will buy a mattress that is not compressed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love that this is a dual sided crib mattress, safe sleep is so important to us. One of the sides is for when baby is 0-12months and then you can flip the mattress around once your babe is a bit older. Great price and quality for the price tag for sure. Our sweet boy will be here in January and we cannot wait for him to use it!

So i will say this mattress is great! I have had the hardest time getting my son to sleep in his crib and this completely solved that problem. He lays down and its so soft and comfortable he falls fast asleep. Now i will say that like other i had an issue with it not inflating all the way. Half came up right away and the other half was still flat. After 3 days it did come up enough to put in the crib, only one corner was still a little flat but ge lays in the middle so it wasnt a big deal. Im just happy to be getting some much needed sleep!!

Bought this for my 11 month old after going through 3 inner springs. I didn't even know this existed. I read reviews and foam came in as being the best. Even though this is low on the price scale I took a chance. I was shocked how small it was but after reading instructions I realized it was vacuumed sealed so after plastic comes off it comes to life. Has a nice zip cover, not to heavy but not to light. My 16 month old grand daughter even naps on it when I have her. I even sent one as a gift and they like it so well, they are buying one for their other child.

This mattress works well for my 10 month old grandson, expanded as it should and is soft and comfortable for him. I might not put a newborn on this because it is soft. No need to buy an additional cover, the mattress comes with a fire retardant one and an outside cover that was nicer than the additional one I got, so we are using the one that came with it.
