Great Coffee good price

I usually purchase Starbucks french roast dark coffee but it was not in stock so I purchased this instead thinking to try it because it was available and cheaper $16.98 for 40 oz versus $24 and 98 cents for 40 oz of the Starbucks brand. This was a mistake because I find the flavor of the member mark ran coffee to be rather bland. I find that I often don't break more than half a cup because I don't find it flavorful or satisfying. I'm considering throwing the remainder out and not using it.

I’ve bought the bagged version of this coffee for a long time and always felt it delivered good taste at a great price. Since they switched the packaging to the cardboard box, the quality has decline. The coffee is now a finer grind, which seems to be too fine for my coffee maker (a standard drip machine). Water cannot pass through the grounds, so it constantly backs up in the filter basket. It requires lots of stirring and mess to eventually get the coffee to drip into the pot. Additionally, the new packaging is bulky and annoying to open and close.

I’ve been using this coffee daily for years and the coffee itself is excellent. Great flavor and consistently good quality. Unfortunately, the new cardboard packaging is a big downgrade. The container doesn’t have a proper seal, which makes it difficult to keep the coffee fresh. Because of that, it seems to lose flavor much faster than it used to. I really hope the packaging is reconsidered, because the coffee inside is still great and easy to accidentally spill.
