It is safe to use in all HE (high -efficiency) washing machines. I really like this product. We do a lot of yard and garden work and our clothes can get extremely dirty and it is hard to get that smell out sometimes. I used it and I was pleased that it left our clothes smelling fresh and did not leave any residue on them. It has an easy to read lid for measuring out the correct amount that you need. I would definitely recommend this for anyone that has allergies or sensitive to fragrances and dyes in detergents. Left clothes clean smelling and feeling clean. The product is a clear liquid with a soapy, light pine scent. It is for high efficiency washers. I used it to wash pillows and leggings in separate loads. I used the indicated amount. It left a pleasant fresh, light pine scent on the leggings after washing them. It did not leave any noticeable scent on the pillows. I did not try to use it to get out stains in my clothes. It states it removes 99% of top everyday and seasonal allergens. I do not have issues with allergies, so I was not able to test the truth of this feature.
