TV stopped working after 2 months

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The TV stop showing a picture after 2 months, sound still works. It is now a large paperweight and looking for a way to dispose of. Will not buy product again.

Hi Jeff, Thank you for sharing your experience with your U7900F TV. If your screen is going black or you’re not seeing a picture, and you don’t currently have an external device connected, the issue may be related to the One Connect cable or box itself. Please try the following steps: 1. Check the One Connect cable for damage or loose connection. Disconnect and firmly reconnect the cable at both the TV and One Connect Box ends. If the cable appears bent, pinched, or damaged, it will need to be replaced. 2. Disconnect the One Connect Box from the TV (either by unplugging its power cord or removing the One Connect cable). If an error message or any image appears on the TV after doing so, the One Connect Box may need to be replaced. If the TV remains black, your TV may require service. 3. Press the Home button on your Samsung remote. If the menu does not appear, the TV could be having power issues. Check the red standby light (located at the edge of the TV). If the red light is off when the TV is plugged in and turned on, there may be a power issue with the TV. 4. If your screen is on long enough, please try checking for a firmware update, as this can improve system stability. Go to: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now If the issue continues after these steps, please reach out to Samsung Support so we can investigate further and determine the next steps for service or replacement.
