The odor control is excellent. It really does what it promises — smells are locked in almost immediately, even with multiple uses throughout the day. The Gain Original scent is noticeable but not overpowering. It gives a clean, fresh laundry smell that makes the whole room feel fresher, which is a huge plus for me. In terms of clumping, this litter performs very well. The clumps form quickly and stay solid, making scooping easy and mess-free. It doesn’t fall apart or stick too much to the bottom of the litter box, which saves time and keeps the box cleaner overall. Another thing I appreciate is that it’s low dust. There’s minimal dust when pouring it into the box, which is better for both my cat and the air quality in the house. My cat adjusted to it right away with no issues, which tells me it’s comfortable for paws and not irritating. Overall, Fresh Step Odor Shield Gain Original is a reliable, high-quality litter that truly controls odor, smells great, and is easy to maintain. Usually my cat gets the litter all over the floor when she gets out of the box because it's on her paws but this doesn't do that so it's not only effective at keeping it smelling clean it's also staying clean with no litter mess to clean up! It clumps up perfectly to clean it out of the box with no issues! The packaging is attractive as well, bright colors that grab your attention!! Over all I highly recommend this for any and all cat mommies that want to keep your house smelling clean and staying clean.

The weight of the box it came in is ok, its kind of awkward. I'll be looking for this in a jug version or the larger container. My cats are messy with litter, I swear they play in it. Haha. So, this ended up all over my floor, which tells me it literally gets tracked all over the house. Clumps well too.

It has a fresh, clean scent that covers cat messes well. It does not cause dust particles in the air or on the floor.

Days later I didn’t smell their box. Absolutely love this litter! With other unscented litter it seems to have a funky smell even if you stay on top of keeping the box clean as can be. Will absolutely be buying this!
