[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung 55-inch U7900F has been a great TV for the price. The picture is bright and vibrant without looking overly processed, and the contrast provides good detail in both darker scenes and brightly lit content. Screen uniformity has also been very good, with no distracting bright spots or uneven areas during normal viewing. The most impressive feature is the upscaling. Lower-resolution shows, older movies, and streaming content look noticeably sharper and cleaner than I expected. It obviously cannot turn everything into true native 4K, but Samsung's processing does a phenomenal job of improving detail and making older content look great on the larger screen. The interface is generally responsive, apps open quickly, and navigating through menus is simple. My only complaint is that every few months the TV seems to become laggy and increasingly unresponsive. It will eventually crash and restart itself, after which it usually works normally again. It does not happen often enough to outweigh the positives, but it is frustrating when it does. Overall, the brightness, contrast, uniformity, and especially the upscaling are excellent for a TV in this price range. Considering the picture quality, smart features, screen size, and affordable price, the U7900F offers a lot of value. Despite the occasional software slowdown, I am very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced 4K smart TV.

For the price, the TV has good features and quality. We keep discovering new features. When turned on, the TV always goes to a station, that is not from our cable. I wish I knew how to get it to turn on to the last station! But the extra Samsung stations are nice to have,

I really appreciate this TV and everything it has to offer. The technology and features are impressive, and overall it has been very easy to use. The picture quality is phenomenal and really makes whatever you're watching feel more immersive. The only area I feel could be better is the volume. The built-in speakers aren't quite as strong as I would like, but that's something that can easily be fixed with a soundbar, so it isn't a major issue for me. Setting everything up was simple, and I also really like how easy it is to connect your phone and use it as a remote. Even without using your phone, navigating through the TV's menus and apps is straightforward. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the TV. Between the picture quality, features, and ease of use, it has been a great addition to the house.

The remote doesn't always work right. Biggest problem is with the volume control have Samsung TV's both have the same volume issues. They have the same remote when trying to raise or lower the volume tv keeps going to mute. I have to use a fire stick remote to control the volume.

This TV is a pain. It refuses to work property with HDMI ports. Icons often disappear and have to be re-added. The volume background is too loud. I've adjusted it but it is still a problem. & the REMOTE sticks and then moves to fast. We don't even use it unless absolutely necessary. Overall, I would NOT recommend this TV and I would NOT buy another one. I have a friend who has it and they feel the same way.

This TV has a great picture and is a nice upgrade from the 65” to the 75” My only issue is the Samsung soundbar I had drops out from time to time. You have to navigate to the menu and switch back to the tv speaker. As soon as you hear the sound from it you can go back to the soundbar. It's an aggravation but it doesn't happen very often, maybe twice a week. Even with that I will buy another Samsung tv when needed. Maybe the 100 incher.

Tv has gotten real laggy and constantly disconnects from wifi while all my other devices stay with a good strong signal. moving through the controls has also become an issue with a bunch of lag happening through out where it gets late responses form the tv remote. Remote is still the original at purchase.

The responsiveness of this U7900F 4K smart TV is insane. I love it when I go to another app; the response is quick to start uploading / the connection is just amazing. I have my settings perfect for me never have to readjust them to what's on screen automatically does it.

The TV has relay issues when turning on with the original sound /samsung welcome noise . Tv speakers is very low for it to be this size. I have to sometimes turn on. My samsung sound tower in order to hear really well when watching movies. I have a 70 inch samsung TV that is way louder then this one. It took 5 months for it to get an update so I could download the zuse app. But overall it has a decent quality when it comes to picture /viewing movies and TV shows. Especially in darker rooms. I am a BIG time samsung lover and it does has it's best and worst features but none the less a good work in progress. PLEASE GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL remote this one doesn't have the fast forward so you have to toggle in between the app or bottom on movie to fast forward that is very tiring loved that the slim version but need more of the old buttons.

The problem I am having with these TVs and I bought three of them is that they are about a year old I bought the extended warranty and randomly and in frequently I turn them on and there's no sound so I have to turn them on and off and wait intermittent times and eventually this sound does return. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem there is anything that extended warranty covers including the issue with the sound I would stay away from Samsung and the extended warranty and look and buy elsewhere. .
