The glasses free 3D is incredible and really brings my movies and games to life - feels like they are jumping out of the screen. This is further enhanced by the AI 3D video conversion feature, since anything I want to watch is made more real. The Reality Hub option is great for finding gaming content that works with the 3D features. With dual speakers, I hear all my movies and games with even more intensity. The edge lighting is an awesome add on, making images really pop on the screen. With a 165 Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, none of my games or movies ever lag. G-sync compatibility improves the flow of my movies and games as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3D effect is very cool. After playing Palworld for a while with it turned on, I found it hard to go back to 2D. However, this is my first 4K monitor at 27", and it was extremely sharp when 3D was turned off. Some of that sharpness is lost when in 3D. If you have played with a 3DS game console before, the effect is very very similar. I found that it was still more enjoyable in 3D despite the loss in sharpness. With 3D turned off, the display is incredibly sharp. There are some minor lines you can see in the display, likely due to the layer that allows for 3D. However, it is not distracting/noticeable unless you are really looking for it at the edges of the screen at steep angles. It is not OLED, but the contrast is still excellent. I haven't had any issues with flickering or artifacts when G-Sync is enabled at 165Hz, something I had an issue with on a past Samsung monitor. The AI conversion from 2D to 3D is decent. It's not as good as dedicated media, but there is definitely depth.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new monitor from Samsung just about has everything that most high end 27-inch 4K IPS monitors have and then slaps on a game-changer: 3D without glasses! Typical stuff like 4K resolution, 165Hz refresh rate are present as expected so you’re getting razor sharp clarity and butter smooth motion. Details pop, HDR10+ support ensures wide color coverage so you get vibrant, accurate color reproduction. Even though it's not an OLED or mini-LED panel, it’s bright & punchy. Glossy screen finish adds greater impact on perceived color depth and image contrast. The metal chassis is sleek and refined and fits high-end gaming or productivity setups. The Aurora lighting feature throws light onto the base and it’s subtle but beautiful. The integrated speakers, however, were a pleasant surprise - clear, decently loud, eliminating the need for external speakers. This shocked me upon the first listen. I’d actually use these while gaming to be honest. Glasses-free 3D. This is where this G90XF sets itself apart. The AI driven 2D to 3D conversion works impressively, giving subtle depth and separation between foreground and background objects. It’s pretty neat. However, it's native 3D content, especially the Side-by-Side (SBS) formatted content, where the experience becomes truly next-level. Watching a video of a snake slither toward the screen, my kids and I were freaking out - we actually screamed and instinctively leaned back. Games: Reality Hub is still developing and it can be a tiny bit touchy, which is allowed, since this is all still in its infancy. However when the effect works it does its job well and it’s impressive. Titles that do support 3D offer an immersive gaming experience that made me trying to “grab" objects on occasion! I have a laptop powered by a RTX 4070 and my desktop PC has a RTX 4090. Both were able to handle gaming without issue, however the documentation on Samsung's end could’ve been better: I had to resort to Reddit to figure out you absolutely have to have the USB cable plugged in from the back of the monitor to the device you’re using. Other than that though, the Samsung Odyssey 3D G90XF is a future forward monitor that delivers incredible clarity outside of 3D content and a mind-blowing 3D experience without glasses. That aspect of it is probably the biggest draw. 3D glasses supporting screens have been a thing for decades, but if you want to experience what I can only call genius innovation, this monitor is a thrilling piece of technology.

This new technology is the wave of the future and hopefully will be the definitive gaming and movie experience as we head into the future. Now we just need this technology on larger screens and tv's. My biggest hope is that they open-source the 3D effect to allow other games like Rocket League to take advantage of the effects. Also, hopefully we'll see an OLED version in the future :)

The 27-inch 4K display delivers incredibly sharp detail, and the 165Hz refresh rate makes everything feel smooth and responsive—even during fast-paced gameplay. Motion blur is basically nonexistent. What really stands out is the 3D capability. The depth effect is surprisingly good, adding immersion without feeling gimmicky. Games that support 3D feel like a completely different experience. Even in 2D mode, the screen is bright, vibrant, and has excellent color accuracy. The build quality is solid, and the stand has good adjustability. Connectivity options are straightforward and easy to set up. The only downside is that it's definitely a premium-priced monitor—but you can tell where the money goes. If you're looking for a high-end 4K gaming monitor with cutting-edge features and smooth performance, the Odyssey 3D G90XF delivers.
