Its a really good gaming monitor in the price category of more pro monitors but lacking some pro functionality.

The 3D function really works and it is amazing! The number of games playable in 3D is growing. The greatest strength not marketed properly is the 3D video! It looks fabulous, though could be more flexible in recognizing different 3D formats - it can only recognize half side-by-side...

It can do HDR in 2D but in 3D it does only a fake HDR (SDR with increase brightness) which still looks great, but without HDR color space. Looks like HLG played on PQ monitor.

The main function that it is lacking is different color space support (should be standard in this price category) and more versatile 3D recognition.

Still worth the money! The 3D is truly amazing!

Outstanding Visuals and Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3D effect is indeed as impressive as reported. The pop-out and depth perception in Stellar Blade are exceptional. I experienced minimal ghosting, primarily during cutscenes. While the monitor indicates a 165 fps refresh rate, during 3D operation, it consistently maintained 60 fps. I am uncertain if the 4K resolution is active during 3D viewing, but the visual clarity is remarkably sharp. Connection via the DisplayPort cable was perfect.

Impressive 3D

Set up for the monitor is quick and easy. The silver stand and borders on the monitor look fantastic in person. Upon initial boot up, I noticed how bright the panel got which was great since my room is flooded by sunlight. I installed the latest firmware and began calibrating colors and brightness to suit my needs. Colors are lovely and vivid, no issue on brightness levels, very little light bleed in the corners of my panel which is a huge plus for dark scenes in games/movies. As a standard 4k monitor, I feel this is a near perfect IPS panel with amazing color accuracy and crisp resolution. Gaming at 165hz feels buttery smooth as well. My one issue with this monitor is when I utilize the 3D. The 3D hasn't functioned correctly since getting this monitor. When I try to play supported games in 3D, I get a slight double image no matter which settings I use on the monitor. The 3D works slightly better when converting video playback to 3D but, I still get the slightest double image no matter the viewing angle or settings. Not sure if it's an issue with the panel or the tracking cameras but, the 3D hasn't functioned near perfect as some other reviews reported. That said, I would still highly recommend this monitor for it's excellent IPS panel.

Great colors and brightness. However..

I bought this monitor, and let me say, it's pretty, really pretty. But the speakers didn't work for me, and the camera was only in black and white. 

The problem with the speakers apparently was something to do with my computer, but Samsung was unable help me figure it out. 

The camera couldn't be fixed, so they gave me a refund because the monitor is so popular they didn't have another to send me :'(

I really want another!

Wonderful, but ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazing technology!  The colors are vibrant, and the picture is very crisp.  Low input lag, as one would expect from a gaming-focused monitor.  The bezel is small and the monitor has a clean, professional exterior.  The only drawback is the small number of compatible games (so far), but this seems to be improving day-by-day.

Monitor of the future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall it's an impressive device from a hardware perspective.  My main points of detraction are that the software is not plug and play...there's lots of nuance to get the device to work.  

I'd really prefer if the panel had a matte finish instead of a glossy one. Other than that, the hardware execution is perfect.  Looking forward to see what Samsung does with the software in the future.

The 3D experience can be impressive when it works, adding real depth and immersion, but it's held back by limited game support, software quirks, and a demanding setup. For tech enthusiasts and early adopters, it's an exciting glimpse into the future — but for most gamers, it may still feel like a niche experiment.

Great Monitor with little support

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 3D is insane and if you're willing to spend a day learning, you can play almost everything in 3D besides stuff with anti-cheat through a combination of Samsung software and third party fixes. Please check them out if you get this monitor.

The AI 2d-to-3d conversion is quite good and usable in anything that isn't taxing your GPU like videos or other 2D content. 

Outside of 3D, the IPS panel in this in monitor is just ok. The picture outside of dark scenes is good, but the contrast is quite bad in anything dark. I was also disappointed that I received a panel with IPS glow in a couple places. It doesn't feel like a current gen panel to me when compared to the latest tablets or IPS screens.

I do consider this more of a prototype before an OLED or mini-led (with enough dimming zones) model is made. It's pretty nice if you want to try the technology or you only use IPS screens and don't mind the downsides of that panel type. For me it absolutely proved the technology to be sound and I am extremely eager to see future 3D panels from Samsung.

I give it 4 out of 5 since it's pretty much one of a kind on the market and soon to be 10 out of 5 if Samsung delivers on future displays.

Amazing 3D on an average panel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel like the monitor was not worth the price I had a lot of connectivity issues at the beginning it still isn't working to this day for anything outside the Samsung Odyssey 3D hub although the Hub looks really good in 3D but I would not recommend buying it
