I had my doubts when I bought 2 soup kits, but they were great. The taste was great and the cheese was perfect. The croutons were even perfect because they took forever to become soggy. That was great. Super buy for the winter months.

It was fine and it may be great for other people. I didn't care for the flavor so much. I am super picky about French Onion soup so my dislike is definitely a matter of personal preference.

The French Onion soup was better than expected! I wished there had been more to a bag(2 bags per container). With that being said all the other Member's Mark soups we had were plentiful and absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!! (Especially the chicken noodle soup),and the broccoli cheddar and loaded baked potato soup. I also purchased the chicken and wild rice soup bit haven't tried it yet but looks like awesomeness!!!!! I wished the French Onion soup came in the tubs like the other soups y'all have.

This beef stock onion soup is delicious. Kit contains a packet of Gruyere Cheese and a packet of croutons. Easily made in the microwave. Contents of kit expire approximately one month from purchase. Kit must be refrigerated. Cheese packet is small. I added a bit more cheese to mine to make the soup a bit thicker.

The onions are well portioned, and the soup comes together quickly, making it suitable for a weeknight meal or a quick appetizer. The flavor is decent but a bit on the mild side, lacking the deep, rich onion taste you’d expect from a traditional French onion soup. The broth could be more robust, and the overall taste feels slightly processed. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t quite deliver that classic restaurant-quality experience. Good for convenience, but there’s room for improvement in flavor depth.

I tried the Member's Mark French Onion Soup Kit. It gives you enough for 2 big bowls. You get packets of soup, cheese and croutons. Is easy to heat up. I love the cheese its perfect for French Onion soup. Directions are easy. Some of the onions were bit too bitter for my liking and would be better with more of a sweeter onion.

I havent had French onion soup in years and I was so excited to try this soup kit, I thought the kit came nicely packaged, and I did like how the four servings are split in two complete sets.The instructions are clear with stove top and microwave options. I was expecting the soup base to be a richer brownish red shade, this kit's base color is more of a greyish shade. The soup base smelled really good, until I started to heat it up, I used the stove top option, I can't explain the smell that I was experiencing my guess was the sherry vinegar and thyme heating up? There was a good portion of onions in each package, The crostini's and cheese seems to be of good portions as well. I did have a really hard time with the cheese once it melted though, it clumped together. I actually almost chocked on it twice. I might have made the mistake by stirring it, causing the clumping, I'm not sure. The instructions didn't say to broil in the oven at all, to melt the cheese, as traditional french onion soups do but, I kinda wish I would have tried that, I might have had different melted cheese results. Over all this soup was not for me, I was expecting more of a beefy onion flavor and as for me I didnt care for the flavor profile in this soup but, I'm not here to discourage anyone from trying this French Onion Soup kit, it was presented and portioned nicely, very easy and quick to put together, and you may like the sophisticated flavor profile, just be careful with the melted cheese.
