Good taste but, chewy and gristle. I usually get 80% ground beef from a local supermarket, and it is tender with no gristle. The Member's Mark is 85%, so perhaps a different cut of meat.

Quality ground beef at a reasonable price. I like that it's pre-portioned into 1lb packages. I freeze them and pull them out the day before I want to cook them. Would recommend.

This ground beef has too much sinew to actual meat ratio. Not a high quality beef. I made meatloaf with it - it was like eating rubber plastic Not a bad price for the value.

I love being able to purchase these freezer-ready packs of grass fed beef. I appreciate the quality and the ease of being able to pop these into the freezer for later use. 90% of recipes call for one pound of ground beef, and these are perfect.

Horribly watery and nasty consistency. I still made 7 hamburgers against my better judgement and tossed them all in the trash. Then returned the remaining package.

The quality has gone down recently and with the halal certification and how horribly they kill the animal (it is fully conscious and the cortisol spike in the poor creature probably changes the taste and texture)I will never purchase it again. I will find purchase from companies that are certified HUMANE and not halal.

I agree with many other reviews this product has gone down hill. I couldn't find when they began using halal certified processors but I wouldn't be surprised if that coincides with the decline in quality. Those animals die fully conscious, the cortisol spike can change the meat flavor. Highly encourage local buying when possible, we've swapped and the quality difference is absurd

Wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped. But unless you buy it straight from the farmer that's what we get in the stores these days and since I don't have space for a freezer, I can't buy a half a beef or something like that, so I have to eat this. Not happy with it though.

We really like the taste of the 85% Organic ground beef, but it was very fatty when we fried it. We decided that in the future we will get the 90% regular ground beef in the triple pack because it doesn't have much fat. If Sam's ever gets better grade of Organic, we would buy it.
