It’s an ok ice maker. The “larger” ice is actually pretty small and melts quickly. But it does make ice quickly.

Love it and the price was right. Technically I have to make 300 lbs in a year to get my money’s worth. 5lbs down! You do have to break apart the cubes because they go in the freezer wet, but that’s just a petty inconvenience.

Just received my Chefman appliance and completed the registration. It was easy to set up and plugged in without any issues. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but it looks well made and I'm looking forward to trying it. I'll update my review after I've had some time to use it.

Of course, my freezer ice maker broke because everything is worse nowadays. Was buying bags of ice until I can get it fixed. Of course even that’s expensive, so I saw this little maker with decent ratings and gave it a go. For the price, it is really impressive. I fill it and it makes ice so fast. Fills my ice bin within an hour. Make sure to put the ice in the freezer as soon as you can as the maker itself doesn’t keep it frozen for long. However if it does melt it just recycles back through. Highly recommend. Also I see there are more expensive models of this brand but I couldn’t tell how they’re supposed to be much better. Personally I wouldn’t waste the extra money when this one works just fine for so much less.

My disappointment was this machine does not hold ice. First time ice machine buyer so I did not even think this was a setting I needed to verify was part of the machine. Makes ice quickly but does not hold ice.

The ice bin is too small on this unit.

It’s quick. But, it’s very loud and having the ice storage over the water reservoir means your ice does not freeze hard. If you are transferring to another container and storing in freezer, the ice will freeze together completely. It’s also means it melts quickly if you are using it right away. I bought it in a pinch and it’s serving its purpose, for the most part. Glad it was on sale because I would be really u happy had I paid full price.
