The chopper will not chop a half an onion in its entirety. The blender does not blend. In fact I am finishing up a smoothie right now in which I have to chew. I should not have to stop the machine continuously to stir in order to blend or chop, and then have chunks and pieces that were never touched. I bought this in November and will be returning it.

I loved this blender its a great size and its a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be (since it looks really small in the pictures online). It blends very well, but its very very loud and one thing I wish the product had a high and low speed setting. Overall its great, sturdy, and easy to clean! Great buy.

First, I say this Hamilton Beach Blender is amazing where it does the job. I have had this blender for about a week now and I use it almost every day. I really like that you can use it as a blender or a food processor. I have already used both. I use it for protein shake with ice where it seems to have no trouble blending it smooth. It's mixed everything evenly and smoothly. I have also used the chopper for chopping veggies and it does well. A feature that I really like for the blender part is the lid. It's very easy to get on and off, and it has a pour spout. The lid twisted nicely into place so I didn't have to worry about it popping off and splattering my ingredients everywhere. I also like the pouring spout as a nice extra for a basic blender. But overall for the price this is a great blender. I really look forward to using this blender more and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a blender with a decent price. The price is too cheap, and I was worried about the quality of blender. But unlike my concerns, this blender is really great! It works great and it’s easy to clean.

If you need a blender that will effortlessly blend do NOT buy this. The blades are not placed in a place that will be effective for what you need. Although initially I thought the spout lid was a great idea the lid is not easy to put on because it needs to line up PRECISELY with the unique shape of the rim of the blender that also has a spout on it and is a struggle to remove. The "chopper" is basically useless unless you are planning on chopping miniature foods and even then you'd have to cut it beforehand because the space inside is so tiny. This blender is not powerful in the least. Save your money and buy a good blender. Hamilton Beach, you FAILED!

it's a little on the cheap side but it works for salsa And chocolate milk. it's not very good with smoothies I have to stop and mix. the food processor is very small and cuts up onion and other small herbs. you have to precut larger vegitables. it doesn't cut the tomatoes it blends them which I don't like.

The blender makes fantastic icy drinks. The processor blades are too close together, though, and they don't really pull food down from the top very well so you have to repeatedly stop the machine to push the food down from the top so it will process. But I really like it so far and love that it is a two-in-one.

For the price this is a really nice appliance. It has a 700W motor, and blends and chops veggies and fruit really well. It can also be used to puree fruit for juice. The blender is glass and has a nice pouring top and the chopper is plastic with a blade. A good looking item. I would recommend it to anyone.

Completely upset with my purchase!!!!! I owned a hamilton beach single blender for 3 yrs so I figured this would be a great step up. I am utterly upset by the performance of this product. It wont even chop up a tomato for salsa nor chop an onion. I only used it twice hoping the second time would be better but noooooooo. This is quite displeasing and will be returned immediately

I compared this product with many other blenders and many other web-sites and ended up with Wal-mart site because the price is cheaper than the buy.com (Rakuten or whatever that weird new name). It's $ 4-7 cheaper with free shipping here (if you buy $49 or more) Anyway you can't beat this price !!! It came with glass blender and a food chopper (plastic) but the motor is 700 watts !!! Majority of the blenders are only 230 - 350 watts so with this blender, I'm sure it will last and I can keep on chopping the ice for my smoothies !!!!

Been using it almost everyday for little over a week now. Very happy with it. The base is light enough to take in and out of the cabinet. Everything is easy to wash. Lids fit nicely without being too tight. I was skeptical about the pouring spout, but it's surprising a nice feature. The food processor is a perfect size for me for daily use to make salsas and such.
