Great Product for the Money

I cannot really rate durability yet. I bought it to make smoothies, new diet craze, and it works great. To clean you just put in some detergent and run it. I have not used the chopper yet but all pieces are sturdy and made well. Not flimsy at all. I love the shorter shape of the container, it seems to work better than the old blenders. I highly recommend.

I love it

You might need to stand by and hold lid while operating, but one thing for sure this thing crushes ice very well. I really do not know how to use it as of yet in the right way, but I made cocktails all night, have made baby food on it, crushed ice the little part I used to crush meat, did not like it came out puree, other than that this is a great powerful thing, I Am satisfied with investment.

nice and heavy duty

I haven't tried the food processor yet but it looks the same as my Cuisinart small processor so I'm sure it will do great. I love that I can interchange them and plan on doing so soon! The blender... it's glass which is a bonus, and fits very nicely into the base. The lid snaps on to prevent spills and the spout is nice... my old one didn't have one and I was pleasantly surprised by how easily it worked. We primarily use it for smoothies. Here is why I only gave it 4 stars: it requires approx 8oz of liquid to blend well. When given this amount of water/juice/milk/whatever it's fabulous! I wish I would have known this though bc we don't like to add much water in our smoothies, but now we have to. It's fast and super easy to clean. Very satisfied given the low price. We use it every day.

Nice blender

I don't use a blender often but I'm impressed with this one. We learned the hard way that the lid has to be firmly locked in place before you try to pour from it. It's really nice to have this feature where you can pour either way. The food processor seems fine although it is fairly small.

I paid to much

I bought it online primarily to make smoothies and as far as the one I received when I'm trying to blend it's like it doesn't engage and I end up fighting with it to get it to engage over and over again! Sometimes it will engage like it's supposed to and its awesome but that is a very rare thing. The big glass pitcher is really nice and heavy duty and the chopper is nice but I haven't used that much. The owners manual is a joke also, there is absolutely no users guide on operating it, I know it's a blender and pretty self explanatory but it has a few different features for different results and speeds it should have something about what each function is best for or for best results do it this way but it doesn't even have anything listing the functions. That's just my opinion, you asked and I told you.

Your experience with our appliance is very important to us. We regret to hear that you are not experiencing optimal blending results while using your Hamilton Beach 2-Speed Blender with Food Chopper. Typically, this is a tell-tale symptom that not enough liquids are being added to the ingredients included in the blender jar. To remedy this occurrence, please ensure that you are adding at least one cup of liquid to your ingredients, as referenced in the use and care manual. Consumer experience remains our top priority and if we can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact our customer service department.

The Blender and chopper are terrible!! I used the chopper twice and blender about 3 times since I bought it. It looks great but doesn't do the job.. The blades are way too small and not shard enough. Constantly need to push down. Thins thing is not my best friend in the kitchen right now...

You get what you pay for. CHEAP!

Let's just say I will be returning it after I wash it. It's sounds powerful, but it's not. I guess you get what you pay for. For a cheap item it's great! If you need just something, it's great! But if you want a processor that will actually chop your food, and you not have to chop your food into pieces before adding it into the processor, and stoping it every few seconds to push down pieces to be chopped, then you need something else. If you want a blender that will actually make a smoothie without having to constantly stop to push the fruit to be chopped and blended, then you want something else. I will be returning and putting money into a more quality food processor and blender.
