I didnt quite know what to use this on when I first got it. But since it was for high heat I decided to use it to fry up some battered zucchini. It added so much flavor to them it was absolutely delicious. Did not leave the food overly greasy either.

Soooo. I have never ever used avocado oil for cooking before. I wasn’t sure what to cook with it the first time around—I think I did stir fry—very simple, no odor, didn’t have much of a taste which is to be expected. But then I decided to use this oil for seasoning my cast iron pan—high heat which is perfect for polymerization. And let me tell you. This oil is absolutely god tier for that. Never mind grape seed oil—avocado oil is now my go too.

My family absolutely loved the avocado oil which we used to grill shrimp. It is a light oil like olive oil and was perfect for coating shrimp to keep it from sticking to the grill. I really loved that it was in a glass bottle like a high quality oil would be.

I've always purchased avocado oil from Sam's but it was the Olivari brand (100% pure). Today I grabbed a bottle of the Member's Mark oil without looking at it. When I got home, I noticed a large amount of sediment in the bottle. Hoping the bottle was just cold, I let it warm up to see if it would clear, but no dice. It's absolutely disgusting and far from the clear oil I'm used to. It's not just cloudy, but there are large chunks floating around and sticking to the bottle itself. I notice that the MM brand only says “pure” with no percentage. Seems like an advertising ploy because this appears to be about 1% pure. I usually like Member's Mark products, but won't give this one a second chance because I'm so repulsed. Guess I'll have to start buying it from the competitor instead.

As others have noted, the quality of this oil has me concerned. I've bought several bottles in the months past and all were clear. I purchased a new bottle late December, and it looks like there is a 2" layer of snot at the bottom of it. I returned it (the only thing I've ever returned), thinking it was a fluke, but every single bottle I checked on 6 different cases today (Jan 2026) had the same issue. I will not be buying this again.

I'm always up for trying the Member's Mark brand, but won't buy this any more. This can't be 100% Avocado oil. Primarily use to make homemade mayo, but when it in the fridge it does separate and harden. Wish they would carry the other brand again.

Fair price for quality oil

It's a pure Avocado oil. I use for stir fry it doesn't smoke.

We think the oil is very healthy to use, and a good price compared to other stores.
