First response is the most reliable test I have used. The sticker price is a bit high but at least you know you are getting a reliable test compared to the off-brand blue dye tests out there. I have never received a false positive with First Response.

ive bought 2 double pack curved handle frer's and got false positives on all 4!! Had blood tests to confirm and both were negative so the frer i took were wrong. i loved the old ones got perfect results everytime, but these new ones are horrible and i have switched to a different brand.

Anyone who's been actively TTC for several months knows how hard it is to wait until your missed period harrowing it is to try and scrutinize a test for a faint line. This test is especially great if you think you see a line on a cheap bulk test strip, but aren't sure. It's more sensitive so it's a great way to confirm a positive!

I had a completely negative blood test 16 hours after getting my 4th faint positive! I got my first faint positive with these tests at 8dpo. It showed up within a minute and was very light but pink. Second and third faint positives were 9 and 10dpo. Faint lines that were getting slightly darker: pink and showing up within 2 minutes. The photo included with this review (top photo) shows the test from around 6pm on 12dpo. The line was obvious, especially in person, and could be seen in a photo without color manipulation. 10am 13dpo, my Dr sent me for a blood test. No HCG. <1. (bottom photo) These lines do not look like evap lines or indents, they are pink, and they show up within the time frame given in the directions. Only two of these tests came from the same box. The tests were not expired. Directly from the First Response website, it says that even a faint positive is a positive (see middle photo). I'm not sure what is going on with these tests but the company needs to check their quality control. This is not acceptable. I always thought First Response was a company I could trust for accurate results. Not anymore.

First Response is the only brand of pregnancy tests that I will ever use! They definitely let you know as SOON as a pregnancy is detectable. My last pregnancy (my baby is 1) it let me know so early! I was only 3-1/2 weeks along! I've never had a false negative or positive with them either!! They are my go to, for sure.

I have always used original FRER test with my 3 previous children. Now that I am trying again I bought my favorite most reliable test only to be disappointed with the new design. It seems like there is always a 2nd line on these test! Unless I can find the old version of these test I will no longer buy FRER.

Sometimes these things are hard to read. I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant but not going to rely just on an at home pregnancy test. The only pregnancy test that is 100% accurate is a blood pregnancy test. Before my mom found out she was pregnant with her last child, she took an at home pregnancy test and it was negative and the next day got the blood pregnancy test and it was 100 percent positive. Ladies don't just rely on the at home test for answers whether you're pregnant. It's better to get confirmation at your doctor.
