I bought this product because I have asthma and perfumes bother me. But the smell on my clothes after I Used this product was such a bad, strong smell. I actually had to throw them away. What a waste of money. I smelled the bottle afterward and my husband did to and the smell was horrible. May not have perfume but has something worse (pungent smell).

My whites came out really soft, fluffy and there was not a hint of fragrance in my clothes. This is very important to my family because of skin allergies and asthma. My T-shirt’s were revitalized. The band was noticeably tighter around the neck. I had no struggle getting my grandson to keep his T-shirt on longer than normal. My color knit shirts came out really nice as well. I don’t think I’ll be sending them out to be laundered anymore.

We had to switch to FREE detergents after finding out my daughter has bad eczema. Out doctor told us to start washing all of our clothes, towels, sheets and everything else with Free detergent and we do not want to go back since we have made the switch!

It is free of dyes and perfumes and leaves my clothes and bedding very soft and static free. The fact that it is free of perfumes and softens the bedding makes it perfect for washing my dog's bedding also.

My husband doesn’t always want his work pants smelling like flowers, also with one child having asthma and one with very sensitive skin this checks all the boxes. We tried Ultra Downy free and gentle. Same softness to our laundry without the added fragrance and no skin irritation.

I’m not sure I like the smell of it though. Although, for my sensitive skin it is very suitable. Usually when I think of fabric softeners, I think of a clean and fresh scent that lasts, which this product does not have. Also, this 34 oz sample is supposed to contain enough for 40 loads; very small loads I guess. I’m also curious as to why this product is called a fabric conditioner as opposed to the usual fabric softener.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using Downy Free and Gental liquid fabric softener for the first time over the past few weeks. I have to say I am sold! I have, for the most part, always used dryer sheets, no more. I used Downy for all laundry loads, clothing, towels, bedding etc. Everything came out soft and comfortable. I used the both the dryer and air dried my laundry. The items I air dried were just as soft as items dried in the dryer. This has never been the case for dryer sheets and I don’t miss the random finding dryer sheets stuck in clothing or blankets at a later date. I will say, I was a little worried about the Downy liquid fabric softener behing scent free (I’ve always like scented laundry products)but I never once missed it. So excited to have a new product I will be putting on my shopping list ... Downy Free and Ckear fabric softener.

I would like a downy without perfumes that isn't just unscented. There are many was to add a natural scents w/o adding perfumes. Aloe, lavender, citrus are just a few. It would be nice to see something like this come from a large company like downy. I would love to see a naturaly scented downy vs the new overloaded scented perfume beads.

Im so glad there is finally a softner that has no dyes or fragrance in it that i can use for my babies clothes. It works awesome . My sons clothes come out so soft and static free. I love it. I would definitely recommend to others and buy in future.

Having a toddler I wash clothes so often and have always struggled finding the best fabric condtioner that’s gentle enough to use on my daughters clothes. But this was perfect. Made our clothes soft and The best part is it was odor free. Would deff reccomend to others.
