It ultimately works great but I’m giving it 4 stars because the set up with collaboration was incredibly frustrating. Let me save you some time, when you are setting it up don’t bother with the orange foam squares they provide you and use a YouTube video for it.

I had the original Backlight, but since I upgraded to a larger TV, I decided to upgrade the backlighting also. I love the dual camera mode which allows it to "see" the screen better and match the colors instantly. the one thing I will say is Calibrate, Calibrate, Calibrate!!! do it in the day time and at night. but once you get it dialed in, it looks spectacular!

Once I figured out the white balance, this works amazing! I don't use the dozens of fun lighting features like disco party mode etc. I purchased for movies and the experience is just incredible. The latest update gave 2 new options for how the lights work and I find the full option is the best. The only thing I wish it did was shut off when the TV does. It's not a big deal at all to go into the app to turn it off, but when I forget, the living room stays lit up as it turns to a white light when the TV is off. Easy to set up and there are tons of step-by-step videos on YouTube from users who are not technical or overly chatty. I am so happy with this purchase!

As the title says this has some amazing effects and I use it as a regular light in my space. That said especially in the blue ranges the colors are a bit iffy, our blue is a turquoise like light and anything but red seems a little off. As well the "cool white" doesn't match the look of my govee bulbs, preferring more of a 6500k than 5000k.

Pretty simple to put on the tv the only concern is I feel like the blue color is off, I have tried changing a few different settings but it’s still the same

I am not a huge TV person but this makes it so better for sure! My guest love it and would highly recommend . It was a bit tricky to install and took some time but it was worth it

Many times, my tv will be WHITE in color on the screen, and the lights reflect blue. Blue is not white, white is not blue. The colors need to be more accurate.

Awesome product. Easy to setup. I had a 75” TV and it looks amazing now with the Govee lights. I use the TV for sporting events, Movies, and PS5 gaming. All look terrific.

Very easy install, directions for installing are concise and easy to follow. I am very please with the purchase. Anyone looking for a product like this should choose Govee!

I have had the last 2 generations of TV lighting. This is definitely worth the upgrade. Govee has the best lighting options for all scenarios. They are my go to for smart home lighting.
