No Mario Kart Code Needed.

For the people who are reading the negative reviews.... the console does not come with a code or slip for the Mario Kart game. If you'd read the box and actually read it, it would explain what to do. You have to set up the system and all of that and then you go to the Eshop and it will give you a prompt to download the game. You do not need a code. You do not need a piece of paper. Read the box. That being said, this is an awesome gift. The battery is kinda bad, but all consoles when they first come out are bad. lower your settings and brightness and it will extend the life.

Scalpers Didn’t Have a Chance!

I didn’t have to wait long after the initial launch date to get my hands on the Switch 2. It only took a little patience. Having Walmart gave me early access when new stock came in. It was worth the wait. The Switch 2 is a great upgrade from the original.

It's a larger and more powerful Switch

I love it. Games run smoother and the graphics are better. If you're thinking about buying one, but aren't sure because of the price, you can hold off for now because they're still releasing games on the first Switch and there aren't many exclusives on this console yet. If you can afford it, go for it! Donkey Kong Bananza is an amazing game.

Nintendo Switch 2 Not Ready for Prime Time

If you don't own a regular or OLED Nintendo Switch and are looking at one, then I would consider the Switch 2. Otherwise, I wouldn't upgrade at this point in time. There just isn't enough games out there to warrant spending that kind of money to upgrade at this point in time. In my case, I play Mario Kart World, but the rest that I play are my old switch 1 games. Basically, I own a $500 switch 1 at the moment. Hopefully more games will be released making it a worthy investment.

Legit Purchase 💜

I was happy to see this system was being sold directly from Walmart and not resellers. For those who are complaining about the code: Go to Nintendo eShop after you setup your Switch 2. A prompt will pop up letting you know about the game so you can download it. There’s no code in the box. 🙂

There was no seal on the box and when you look up to see if the code is supposed to be a card inside the box it just says some come with a card and some prompt you on the shop to download the included game. So I hade to set up the whole switch to make sure the game was included and hot not been tampered with since there was no seal. This is a Christmas present for my child and would have been nice if I didn’t have to pull it out and set it up to make sure the game was included

Upgraded from the Switch OLED. Graphics seem better and it’s able to be brighter. Text is easier to read. The size upgrade of the screen seems perfect for handheld (any bigger would be heavier than I want to deal with). The larger Joycons are nice, but they are still thinner than I prefer so I will still get a grip case. Playing a single Joycon sideways is a much better experience than the previous models.

Did a fare share of research AFTER the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. If you love Nintendo first party games aa well as the different genres of third party, you should get the Nintendo Switch 2. It's an EVERYONE gaming console in my opinion. The additional plus is it's backwards compatibility with most Nintendo Switch 1 games. You can play games with the TV or without it. This is also the perfect birthday gift for myself %26 I'll be jumping into the 10th Generation (Switch 2) a day before my birthday (9/4/2025). 14yo Nephew says best birthday present EVER!!!

The 14 year old was thrilled when he opened his gift from Grandma for his birthday. The price almost made it a no but, luckily she spoils him and has no other grandchildren. He is impressed with the graphics and game play. He has now went from Switch to Switch Oled and now this one. Not sure how we’ll afford more games but I guess we’ll figure it out. Luckily he can still play the ones we purchased online.

READ BOX INSTRUCTIONS! GAME IS THERE! READ!

Like many I read the negative reviews about the game code missing. I was worried because when I received my Switch 2 there was no code as well. I was worried because this is going to be a Christmas gift for my kids (The only one) and if I didn't check now, I would have some disappointed kids come Christmas. Thankfully I investigated a little further. I found the install instructions on the box once I opened the flapped. I followed the instructions, set up my account and went to the store. Voilà the game started to download. Mario Kart World is included, and it's tied to your account once the Switch 2 is activated. Just follow the instructions and don't threat! On a side note, the only time a game code should be found according to Google is if there is an actual sticker showing the game is included on the box. If there is no sticker and the game included icon is printed on the box, that's when the above instructions matter. Sticker = game code should be in box Printed and not a sticker = game is activated once console is activated to your account. Overall, I don't like Nintendo's scummy business tactics, but I bought the console I can't complain. I am part of the problem. They do however make fantastic games and their hardware is weaker, but quality is like Apple. Always weaker, but quality is on point. I would recommend only for serious Nintendo fans or gamers with kids.
