Absolutely love it. Its quiet & washes great!
Wonderful
A cute space saving washer. The buttons controls are soft to the touch. It may be overused in time. It is even programmable.
Hi Cherriopolis, we are happy to hear you are finding your Hamilton Beach 1.7 cu. ft. Portable Washer useful.
Not perfect got a great machine. Easy to install and start using. This is my forth compact washer purchase. I think i finally found the winner. I am used to the small twin tub ones. This is so much easie. If i had one complaiint it would be this and i mean the hoses are a decent length but i would like long ones to be an option jist to help out give me more options a lottle further away from the sink. I would sayost washers dont come with an adaquate quick adapter this was good. Does about a half a load of laundry. Not big enoigh to do comofrtets but a good enough size. I work full time and so does my other half and nethet lne oc us have time for those small washers as addingn water dunping water rensing again drying out again is just way too hard.
Great washer
-Fast shipping. I ordered on Tuesday night, it was here Friday morning same week. -Packaged well. No complaints there. -Easy to assemble. Just had to screw on the bottom cover, faucet adapter, and water hose. All parts included. -Appearance. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of five is because it had a dent and wasn't what was pictured as advertised. -Functionality. I've washed four loads already. No leaks from the bottom. The large load is really medium-small if it were a bigger machine. It's quiet. Easy to program to your settings. Drain hose needs to be a little stronger. But that's not much of a negative issue. It drained well. The spin is out of this world. My clothes came out cleaned, fresh smelling, and just about dry. I hung my clothes to dry in my bedroom with a space heater. They dried faster than expected. For the 69 minute setting (large load) it spins for about 40 minutes. I really can't complain about that. -Savings. The price for this washer was 199.00. Great price. To add, I used about a fourth of cup if not less of HE powder detergent and a few tablespoons of liquid fabric softener. Use Gain or Tide. I love Gain so that's what was used. DO NOT USE ANY OTHER DETERGENT THAN WHAT'S INSTRUCTED. The HE detergent will preserve your washer and prevent suds. For your clothes, the detergent will get all of them cleaned. But the small amounts water it uses, smaller measurements are mandatory. For the four loads I washed took about 3/4 of scoop included with detergent. More bang for my buck. -Transporting. It has two small wheels in the back. Since the washer is lightweight for me, it's easy to tilt and roll. It has handles to grip. I'm ok with that. I still might buy a dolly. -Overall experience. Completely satisfied. I don't have to go to laundry mat or wash clothes by hand anymore. I've been shopping around for about a year or more before purchasing this machine. Very comfortable and happy about my decision to get this one here. Will recommend to some friends.
So disappointed
So I bought this washing machine thinking with all these great reviews how can I go wrong and was I wrong first of all the wheel don't roll second of all the water won't fill up at all maybe a half of inch and I have to pass each cycle and I can only watch one thing at a time due to the fact that the water will not fill up in the machine my water pressure is fine and yes I did install it right this washing machine has malfunction
Surprised!
This was a great size and bigger than I imagined it being, which isn't a problem. It's just me and my husband and I use my washer about 2-3 times a week. We opted out of getting a dryer so we have a drying rack. I hook it up to the sink in the kitchen and my only issue is that the adapter for the sink may not be the correct size because it does spray a mist when it's on so rather than stressing to find a new adapter at Lowes, I just wrap a paper towel around it and it works totally fine. It makes me nervous to leave the water running though during the wash when it isn't using the water so I just turn off the water until it needs it again for rinsing. It has only had a code come up on the screen once but I recommend SAVING your manual because it has good information and a list of code errors and how to fix the issue. My issue was just "close the lid" hehe, I wanted to watch it washing but the lid has to be closed for it to wash which is smart I suppose. It's not very loud and I live in a two story home so if I go in the other room and have on light music or go upstairs I don't hear it all. You can get a good amount of clothes in without having to force it and towels are no biggy, I usually only put about 3 max in at a time with a couple other light clothes like underwear and socks. We have liquid detergent and SERIOUSLY it does NOT take much detergent at all. I recommend using just enough to fill the bottom of your detergent lid for a "large load" because a little goes a long way in this compared to a regular washer which is GREAT because we are saving on detergent - big time. Because we don't have a dryer and things have to air dry on a rack, the clothes do feel a bit stiff once dried, but I think it just has to do with how much detergent you are using and how long we let the clothes sit out to dry. If you catch them right as they are dry then they aren't stiff, but if you let them sit for an entire day they get stiff. Once you iron or put them in your closet or drawers though they loosen up like normal. Clothes come out clean and smelling good. I do have a KING size bed - so I wash the top and fitted sheets with a few other whites and use a little bleach and they all come out fresh and the machine can handle it just fine. The clothes do sometimes get tangled up because of the way it agitates the clothes, but that doesn't bother me i just untangle them as i'm putting them up to dry. Because it put it to my sink and have the water connected to just cold on the machine, I decide if I want to wash them in Hot or Cold water just by turning on the hot or cold faucet. Again, no biggy and at least i control how hot or cold I want it.
Had this washer and got four years out of it. Bought the bigger unit and it stopped spinning after a month. Tried the smaller one that I originally had and same thing just stopped spinning after a month and had an awful burning smell. The company must be using a cheaper spinning motor. Will try a different brand
Maybe next time!
I was so disappointed this didn't work out. I will order another one because it's the perfect size for my daughter's apartment. The washer did not recognize water levels so it did not automatically stop filling the basin. Had I not been standing next to it, it would have overflowed. I emptied it and set it on "small load" and again it filled the basin up to the brim. In addition to that, there was a leak from beneath the unit. It did spin and dry clothes much better than our full-size unit at home.

Works GREAT!
This product was a Christmas gift for my mother and she absolutely loves it. It's quiet, sturdy, and very durable for heavy garmets. The only negative is the wheels. There are only two wheels located on the back side of the washer. In order to move the washer, you have to tilt it back and roll it at an angle. This is not simple for older/elderly adults. Four wheels would've been a much better design.
