(healthy pizzas, tacos, salads, wraps, meal prep, or honestly just eaten them on their own because they’re that good) The texture is what really sold me: perfectly crunchy on the outside while staying super juicy and flavorful on the inside (which is hard to find with frozen chicken products). They taste better than many other brands I’ve tried, and the price makes them a total no-brainer if you want to eat healthier without sacrificing flavor or convenience. I’ve been buying these for YEARS and always come back to them. One of my favorite high-protein staples for busy days!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Real Goods Foods Low Carb Lightly Breaded Chicken Nuggets for dinner and honestly had some mixed feelings about them. For cooking, I did use my air fryer for them because it gives them extra crispiness that I enjoy. You do have to watch for burning since they do cook rather quickly. The inside texture is tender and really does taste like real chicken which I do appreciate. It’s the coating that really throws it off for me. The flavor of the breading tastes a little too much like protein powder, which is extremely hard to ignore even when slathered in sauce. I understand this is supposed to be a high protein low carb meal but I just can’t behind the chicken being drenched in protein powder, it’s overwhelming. Crispiness is definitely there if cooked properly, but it’s more of a light crisp than a real crunch. Overall, it’s decent enough when you’re going for a quick and easy low carb high protein meal. I would personally not get them again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Realgood’s Lightly Breaded Chicken Nuggets are quite tasty; they cooked up quickly in my air fryer and came out great. I really liked the coating, which is more like a dry rub than a heavy batter. These definitely come across as a healthier alternative to other brands. The “Chicken Nugget Chunks” moniker is pretty vague though. Nuggets have a pretty distinctive shape on their own, whereas chunks could be anything. In my 20 oz bag, there were three pieces of chicken that I’d consider to be nuggets. The rest? A mix of smaller bites that were still flavorful but harder to dip. It’s almost as if someone picked out all of the good pieces before we got them. I do like that these are a healthier choice, and they didn’t feel greasy or gross but they did need a dipping sauce to accompany them. These would be best in a salad or as a snack, less so as a standalone meal. Still, I enjoyed them enough and I’d definitely be willing to try other Realgood products.

My only complaint was that most of the pieces were very small and this amount only fed 2 people. I would definitely buy again if it was on sale for a quick healthy dinner for my family.

They are low in calories, high in protein, super convenient to prepare, and absolutely delicious! I typically air fry them for 12 minutes with some seasoning, but microwaving them also works if you’re in a pinch. I have been able to stick to my fitness goals without compromising my nutrition or a delicious meal thanks to Realgood chicken. Super big fan and highly recommend!!
