I really liked the feel of the mattress. I generally prefer a firm mattress, but the gel memory foam was very comfortable. I didn't notice any hip or back pain after sleeping on it. It is only 8inches, so too thick to be a topper but not thick enough as a standalone mattress, IMO. I'm sure it would be good for a preschooler/school age person.

Comfortable foam mattress. It is rolled up tight in plastic for delivery and ships in a large box. Unpacking is easy. There is a removable mattress cover which has a zipper closure. It is comfortable but there is definitely a foam or plastic type smell. Hopefully this goes away over time.

I really like this mattress. I like how it's comes in a box about 4 feet tall and expands to a standard twin mattress. I drive a sedan and it fits in the backseat. I can get a mattress with out having to arrange a delivery or use someone who has a truck. It comes with a machine washable cover but I would get another cover as well because it looks like it would be hard to put back on. It's expands pretty quick. The directions say 72 hours but within an hour I would say you could sleep on it for the night. Great mattress, would recommend.

I'm overall really happy with the Member's Mark 8" Medium Memory Foam Mattress. It has a nice firm feel without being too hard, and it actually stays cool at night instead of turning into a giant toaster. My favorite feature is the zip-off top layer — being able to remove it and machine wash it feels both genius and overdue in the mattress world. My only complaint is the height. It's 8 inches, which is accurate, but my old 8-inch mattress somehow had “main character energy” and felt more like 10 inches thanks to extra padding. This one feels a little slimmer by comparison. Still, for comfort, firmness, cooling, and the washable topper, I'd say it's a solid buy.

I recently purchased a twin mattress, and overall, it's been a solid addition to my bedroom setup. Right out of the box, the mattress expanded quickly and didn't have much of that chemical “new mattress” smell, which was a pleasant surprise. In terms of comfort, it strikes a nice balance between firm and soft. It provides enough support to keep my back aligned, but still has a bit of cushioning on top so it doesn't feel too stiff. I've noticed a definite improvement in my sleep quality—I wake up feeling more rested and with less stiffness than before.

This mattress is pretty comfortable right out of the box, with a medium-firm feel—not too soft and not too hard. I sleep on both my side and back, and it works well for both positions. Setup was very easy. It arrived rolled up in a box, and once opened, it expanded quickly. I followed the instructions and let it sit for 72 hours before using it. There was very little odor, which was a nice bonus. One thing to keep in mind—it does have some weight. I ended up using a dolly to move it into the guest room. It feels comfortable for me and for guests who've tried it, but I can see how someone heavier might prefer a thicker mattress for more support. Overall, it's a solid mattress. Great for a guest room, kids, or even everyday use if you're not too particular. It also seems slightly longer than our previous queen-size mattress.

I got this mattress in the Full size. It is going into the guest bedroom or in our camper, just not sure which one yet. I was able to get the box and the bed out of the box by myself. It was heavy for me, but could still do it independently. There was a couple layers of plastic around the mattress that needed to be removed. The box had a scissors of sorts; much like an envelope cutter. This did not work at all. I used a scissors and wasy just careful of where I cut. At this point, I had the mattress on the floor to get it all unwrapped. If I hadn't there would be no way this could have been done on a bed. In order to cut and pull of the mattress, there is a lot of moving the mattress and so on. I think on an actual bed it would have been dificult. I finally did get the plastic off the top and was pleased to see how pretty it actually is! I let it sit out for a little over a day. I did not attempt to put it on the bed as I would have needed help at that time. So, I tried it out as it was laid out on the floor. I did keep the plastic on the under side, just to be sure it stayed clean. First thoughts, not bad. But, it you prefer your mattress on the softer side, you'll need to make sure the box is NOT the medium feel. (in the picture). To me, it was a tad bit harder than I prefer. Besides that, it is a good mattress cover for a good price. I was able to sleep on it just fine--even though it was on the floor!

These style mattresses come nicely packed. Vacuum sealed and easy to transport. This particular gel mattress is an 8" thickness. Here's are my first impressions: Pros: - This mattress is very cool to lay on, perfect for those warm days where you want something cool to lay on - The gel mattress has a soft top and soft feel, as you would expect from a memory foam bed topper. - The comfort level on the box describes the feel as Medium Firm. I would agree with this once it's laid upon. Otherwise you do feel it sink in when you sit on any edge. Cons: - It's thinner than I'm used to. I use a wood slat frame to stage this mattress and as I lay upon it I can feel some of the gaps in the slats the more I lay upon the mattress. Overall I like the feel of the mattress but I believe the comfort at this thickness depends on what type of frame and if you include a box spring base. I like the coolness and overall feel of the material. If you are looking for a mattress with cooling properties I recommend this one.

3 things I love… 1-zippered cover so it can be washed if need be, 2-silky soft top, 3- really comfortable for those that like a softer mattress. Not too soft but good. The only thing and not necessarily a bad thing is it's quite thinner than other mattresses. You will need a box spring. I would recommend purchasing. Good value for the money!!

Interesting that a mattress comes in a box to unfold & unroll. Wasn't expecting much from the mattress because of that. Was pleasantly surprised in the comfort, once I gave it a few days to fully "inflate", but I still prefer springs in a mattress for the bit of bounce they provide.
