We saw this advertised on TV and needed a carpet shampooing machine for our fully carpeted house. The assembly was quick and easy and operating the machine was also easy. The SmartWash is powerful and will clean and dry one of our carpets that was really dirty and when finished it looked like new. Recommended.

I had bought this about a month ago and let me tell you, I got rid of the Bissell without hesitation! This drys the carpet so much better and is way easier to use!! I like that it has a separate tank for the solution and how it auto mixes. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again!

I was enthralled by the commercial for the Hoover Smartwash Carpet cleaner and thought I would give it a shot. Wow could not be happier, I am a person with limit available time for a project like carpet cleaning and this tool makes it a breeze. Best purchase I have made in a long time. I look forward to using it.

I am so impressed with how well the Hoover Smartwash cleaned my bedroom carpet! There was a high traffic area leading to my bathroom that I've tried to get clean. I've even had the area professionally cleaned with poor results. With pretreatment and a couple of passes over the carpet with this steam cleaner, my carpet looks so much better!

I bought this a Few weeks ago and I've never been so pleased! I had a very older model of a Hoover shampooer and upgrading to this new model was the best thing for my carpet! It needed uplifting and this shampooer did the greatest job! Brought the fluff back and The high traffic area looks so new! I would recommend this to anyone! I'm bought one for my son a well!

I have used several different brands of carpet cleaners but I think this one has to be my favorite. The about wore out on our previous one and broke, so they sent us a brand new unit free of charge since the one with the broken belt still worked, but the belt was the only thing wrong with it. I like the maneuverability of this unit and the ease of use. It isn't very heavy as well as other ones I have tried. It does a really great job of cleaning very thoroughly and is easy to empty and refill. I love this product!!

This machine was the 3rd carpet cleaner we've owned and the first to actually deliver on its promise. Ingenious, well thought-out and engineered, it's clearly the evolutionary result of years listening to customers' suggestions and frustrations. And it does something remarkable. It really, REALLY CLEANS carpets. Easily and thoroughly. Cleaning our beige living room carpeting with a machine was always an exercise in disappointment. I'd read some good reviews on the web about this unit, so I sent for it. Got it yesterday and tried it today. In the 11 years that I've been cleaning, washing and shampooing our carpeting, my wife and I have never seen anything like the way this machine did the job. It's amazing to be reminded of the carpets original color. Ha, ha. We can't recommend it enough.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The great thing about this cleaner is that it's easy to take apart and clean completely. That's also a negative thing: after cleaning the brushes, it's tricky putting the nozzle back together. Whle frustrating at first, I now have the hang of it thanks to a helpful customer service agent. Also, like another reviewer, I had to put 2 cups of warm water in the dirty water tank to get the intake moving for one carpet only.

I chose this model because I wanted a cheaper alternative. I moved into my newly built home in March. This is the first time I've cleaned the carpets. I have 7 year old, 2 dogs and a cat. After using the machine on my beige carpets, I am pretty pleased. Walked in drink stains and old tracked in mud came up with ease and my carpets look new. Why am I not completely pleased? After one pass cleaning, one pass rinsing (as the instructions advise), and one pass suction only (to speed drying time, as instructed), the carpets were still not clean. The water sucked up into the water tank was still dark grey with muck from the carpet. However, carpets do look clean and they do smell fresh, so - I would recommend this machine. I will also share that I plan on investing in a deep cleaning machine soon and maybe washing the carpets more frequently from now on.
