I purchased this machine and used a few times. The second time I used the upholstery attachment the spray wouldn't spray the water/solution out but would the suction work. Took to a repair person to fix and was told it would cost more to fix than buy new. I told him to junk it.

We purchased the Carpet Cleaner online and picked up at the store. The personnel who met us at the pickup station was so nice and friendly. We cleaned our large great room carpet so easily and it look new again. One of our bedrooms had cat throwup stains and the cleaner cleaned it like new. We really love this cleaner. It is so easy to use and it cleaned all our carpets like new. We are really happy with this Hoover product and would recommend it to others.

I purchased this carpet cleaner 5 years ago, and this has been the best by far. I used to buy a new Bissell every 2 years but they always stopped working properly. They would leak, or they would just not have enough suction to work. Hoover is light weight, drys carpets very quickly and seems to be able to last. The only downfall to this cleaner is it doesn't have a heating element like Bissell. I would highly recommend this product and would definitely buy it again if I ever needed to.

I bought the SmartWash for my daughter's birthday because it was so highly rated. She used it once and loved it so much that I borrowed it to clean the bedroom carpet. When I went to clean it after using it one of the plastic tabs on the nozzle release broke and now the nozzle can't be reattached. I can't get a replacement part for this which seems crazy for such a fragile piece of plastic. It doesn't matter how well it cleans if it breaks after the second use and can't be fixed.

After shopping around for a carpet cleaner this was on my radar.I was extremely excited for this product as I have reviewed other cleaners that had the dry option. Unfortunately, after 2 uses the suction stopped working and left my rug soaked. I've done some troubleshooting online and it still has not worked.

We bought this Hoover Smartwash in May after seeing a tv commercial and then reading all the rave reviews on here. Was listed at the time here for $199, found it instore for $189 at the time, went back a week later and it was listed for $169, so definitely bought one. (I was shocked today to see it now listed for $269). Count my blessings that I bought it when I did, but no matter the price, IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!! Our carpets are old and had pet stains here and there. When a new bed was bought in July, I cleaned the carpets in the whole room before we put the new one up. And OMG!! The pet stains especially are gone and the carpet looks brand new again. Then, just this past week, while picking up a deep fryer to clean and replace the oil, I carelessly spilt half the old oil on the floor from the stove to the sink in the carpeted (not our house, sister and hubby had carpet in the kitchen for years) kitchen. First I blotted up all the oil I could, then got the Hoover Smartcleaner out and started to clean. The carpet was black from the oil and it got it up like a simple dirt stain. I proceeded to clean the hallway of pet stains..all gone...then the rest of the kitchen and it looks amazingly clean again, even one strange spot (no idea what was spilt) we had tried to remove several times with a portable Green Machine cleaner, came out!! If you have ever considered buying your first carpet cleaner or need a replacement, you will not regret buying this unit (notice they now have a pet one with heat for faster drying...cool!). It is super easy to use (just like vacuuming), emptying the dirty water tank is simple, and since a full tank of cleaner solution goes a long, long way you don’t have to keep filling it up, it’s the best cleaner I have ever used. I’m no ‘spring chicken’ (i’m 69, with lots of pain due to neuropathy, arthritis, and severe bone problems in my feet) so if I can use it easily, rest assured, anyone, young or old..even with physical limitations,....please don’t shy away from getting a home carpet cleaner because you’re not sure you will be able to manage it. ( I included all that because I have felt that way before myself.). This unit proved me wrong and is a jewel....super easy to use, maintain, and clean and you will not regret getting one. My opinion of course, I hope you find it works the same for you and it’s as easy to use with the same great results as I found it did for me.

I love using this vaccum it has helped me clean up those wet messes made by my pets and kids. I have been using this vaccum for a while now and it's been working great. The vaccum is easy to clean afterwards and not very heavy either so it's easy to lift and store. Disclaimer- I received this product for free in exchange of my opinion

This machine worked incredibly. This was very easy to operate and was probably the easiest carpet cleaner i've ever used. the upholstery cleaner worked great on my couch. The waste water bin also seperates the pet hair and muck so it's easy to clean out. The cleaning solution is kept in a seperate section and adds itself to the water so you don't have to measure anything. i would recommend this to anyone looking for an easy to use, easy to manipulate, and great working carpet cleaner.

As always not disappointed. Hoover out did themselves. The carpet cleaner is not very heavy. It easily moves around on all different types of carpet. Love the fact it transitions from wet to dry so easily. Works wonders on my furniture also. So simple to put together and clean.

Used it on our apartment carpet and did a great job removing foot traffic stains. The dual brush action removed all dirt and brought back cushion feel to the fibers when walking across the room. This is pretty good when my wife and I have been at this apartment for 6-1/2 years and the carpet was used when we moved in. Had carpet professionally cleaned 2-years ago and it wasn't as clean looking as it is now. This machine was easy to put together, easy to use, and the easiest to clean compared to other machines I have used in the past. Machine mixes solution with water so don't have to mess with that. It automatically dispenses the right amount of solution/water and I was amazed at how quickly the carpet dried. Carpet in all the rooms look great and this machine is well worth the investment.
