I use this product at my home as we have a very active dog. It has done a great job cleaning until about 3 months ago when all the water came gushing out of the clean water tank (thank God it was clean water)! Turns out the Black Rubber Seal had dissentigrated - literally came apart in pieces! I have tried to find another seal but no one has one. When I finally got through to Hoover Customer Service -after trying many times- the representative ultimately told me I would need to purchase a New Clean Water Tank! GUESS THEY NEED TO TRAIN THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS BETTER!!!! MAYBE HOOVER DOESN'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!! Plastic and Rubber wear out ....Make replacement parts so you have happier customers or lower your prices so if a part breaks we can afford to throw it away and purchase a new one!

I live in two homes and in my long life I have owned and used more than a handful of different carpet cleaners, including a couple of Hoovers. This one wins. Easy to use, works the best. Just as important, fantastic customer service. Like I said, I've experience with a number of cleaners, and there WILL be problems, though hopefully rarely. Hoover has always been available to troubleshoot and get me cleaning again! If you have a problem, call them. Love Hoover, love this machine.

I received this machine a few weeks ago, I have cleaned my carpets and they have never looked better. The directions are very easy to follow. The machine is constructed perfectly and super easy to use. Have had Hoover machines in the past, but this one far surpasses any other.

This past November I had my carpets cleaned to get ready for Christmas, was a lot of money . So about 2 weeks ago I saw this machine on an info commercial and felt like I had nothing to loose and ordered it. Today was my first opportunity to try it out and I cannot believe the results. It really works!!! I mean my carpet that has a German Short Hair Pointer all over it, me and my two children tracking in everything imaginable from south Florida weather looks like the pros just left the house!! Oh I forgot to mention that I didn't have to move everything in the house either like I do when the other carpet cleaners come The carpet also had spot on it from the fireplace, no problem at all, gone without a trace. The cleaner worked so nicely with no mess at all I highly recommend

This is the best carpet cleaner I have had yet. It is a smaller profile which allows you to see the water pick up easier. It dries much faster than previous machines and picks up the water faster. Love the push forward wash and pull back rinse feature.

The SmartWash worked great the first time I used it a few months ago. I loved the "Dry Only" feature. For unknown reasons I attempted to use it a few months later and it leaked solution and water when turned off and the "Dry Only" feature didn't work. I chatted with he Hoover representative and went through the warranty process. Quick and easy! They said behind the warranty!

I have always been a diehard Bissell fan and always believed that Bissell made the best carpet cleaners. As of late I have not been a fan of Hoover until I bought this carpet cleaner the other day. I am not kidding, this smart wash system is far and above anything that Bissel offers including the big green yes the big huge green one the commercial one they offer. I have owned the big green and of course it cleans well but it's extremely heavy and the performance of the smart wash is equal to or exceeds that of the big green. This Hoover is far and above the best carpet cleaner I've ever used and it's actually very well-made . I wish I could somehow get some free products from Hoover to try because I've always been a vacuum fanatic since I was a child and would love to test new items!

I have not been this excited about a carpet cleaner in forever. This was by far, the easiest to use with the BEST results. My floor dried in half the time it normally does due to the function of pulling back to dry. We are a heavy traffic pet family and our carpet can get pretty gross. I am amazed at how well this worked. It felt like professionals did the job. It pairs well with the pretreat and carpet cleaning solutions as well. I would highly recommend this item. I even let my 70 year old mom borrow it and she even loved it and said it was easy to function (and she can't lift heavy things so most things like this she isn't able to do)

This machine is light, easy to use and clean ( wonderful concept) BUT it leaks ( with 1st use) like a crazy through the body of the machine. My best guess is they got defective parts from supplier, as I've bought the spin scrub last year & it also leaked & got returned. I have contacted Hoover and I'm waiting to see if they'll replace the machine. I really like everything else about this machine. I don't believe fixing this one is a smart option because water literally ran through the machine ( water & electric motor's don't mix). Here's hoping I can give a glowing review after Hoover decides if they'll replace this one. At this point, I would not recommend this machine to anyone, as I won't put someone's life at risk. I'm hoping that can change. I live my Hoover's concepts and my regular vacuum is so wonderful I gave my some the exact same one as a house warming present.

I have dogs, a granddaughter and cream colored carpeting, so cleaning carpet is not some thing that's new to me. My previous cleaner of another brand just gave up mid-cleaning last night. I went to the store this morning and had planned to purchase a different Hoover model but when I saw the double scrubber brush bars on this one, I had high hopes and spent the extra money. But, it didn't do much to actually clean. After the first round, I could visually see where the old machine stopped and the new one continued, the latter area still a grey. The problem, as I evaluate it, is how little water is dispensed...even moving slowly (snails pace). There just has to be something wrong with this! I used less than a gallon of water on my carpet. That might sound great, but my living room has about 250-300 sq ft of carpet accessible/needing to be cleaned (center area of room-around the furniture). That's less than 1 tablespoon per square foot. In all fairness, I went over it two more times (the complete area) and it's better, but who wants to do the same area three times?! It's going back to the store!
