Customer reviews for JBL PartyBox Encore 2 Portable Party Speaker with 2 Mics forPartyBox Encore 2
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very impressed with the JBL PartyBox Encore 2. The bluetooth connection was immediate and held a good solid connection. The sound quality was simply amazing. Not only did the sound rock, but when you add the bass boost, wow. JBL superior sound just kicks in. The voice over music worked extremely well. There is a control for echo on the cabinet for control. The light effects, chase scenes, within the cabinet and the wrap around lighting was beautiful. The end user has several chase scenes to choose from which also changes the color scheme. As for the microphone connection, it was quick and easy. The 2 cardioid mics are great. They pick up sound extremely well. The 2 mics come with 2 mic holsters that easily mounts to the back of the speaker cabinet. The whole kit, if you will is portable and all devices are self contained. Not to leave out the carrying handle, it is very comfortable where moving the 14 lb. system. Over all I would highly recommend this system if you are looking for entertainment for any event.
A great speaker for the party!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been enjoying the PartyBox Encore 2 for almost two weeks now. Upon first unboxing the speaker, I noticed it has a handle that retracts flat on the top of the unit. It’s has an ergonomic feal to it. Pairing was simple with the press of the Bluetooth button on top of the unit. After I paired the speaker I attached the two microphone mounts to the back of the speaker. Having the previous model, adding mounts for the included microphones for the newer model is a huge plus. I no longer have to locate my mics as they are stored on the back of this new model. A very welcomed improvement. Adjustments for the rechargeable mics are located on top of the speaker. This newer model has a smaller appearance than the previous but sounds better. The new PartyBox Encore 2 has commanding bass and rich midrange. The high frequencies blend perfectly with the overall sound. The sound stays clear and balanced all the way to max volume. It has practically no distortion when cranked up. You can fine tune the frequencies via the PartyBox app to your liking. Another improvement on this new model is the removable battery located on the back of the unit. Flip down the door and simply pull the tab and it easily comes out. This adds a sense of longevity to this speaker as batteries degrade over time. I recently used this speaker for a party and it had plenty of battery left after 7 hours of continuous playing with bass boost on and lights active. I had the speaker more than half way up so this battery performs great in this speaker. The party lights on the front of the speaker really add to the party vibe. You can change the pattern via the Party Box app or by the controls on top of the speaker. They are very bright and lively and make the party even more fun. This speaker has the auracast feature. It works with my Flip 7 and PartyBox Ultimate which is awesome. Both different speakers, but have the ability to connect via Auracast to the PartyBox Encore 2 and any other Jbl products with Auracast. I’m happy to see that you can now connect different types of speakers together utilizing Auracast. Auracast holds the connection between speakers perfectly without loosing connection. I had this speaker paired with my PartyBox Ultimate which really filled my yard with sound during a party I was having. All of my guests were highly impressed with the sound of the PartyBox Encore 2 during my recent party. Back to the sound of this speaker. It’s plenty for a party. I have more than half an acre in my back yard and this is perfect for filling it with sound, without getting the cops called on me. My neighbors said they can hear it but it’s not bothersome. This speaker is very loud for its size, but won’t shake the ground under you. The sound is very impressive for the size of the speaker, and the small drivers encased in it. The port in back of the speaker reinforces the low frequencies without any port turbulence. It’s tuned very well for the speaker. The speaker is well designed. Easy to operate controls on the top. Enclosed ports on the rear, which are illuminated by a led light include a guitar input, gain control, auxiliary input and usb-c port. The cover helps give this speaker an IPX4 rating. There is another covered port where the speaker is charged from. The speaker doesn’t have any protective overmolds on it so it will get scratched if you bump or rub it on something. It will crack if you drop it as the housing is plastic. The front grill is metal to protect the actual drivers. The included microphones are built very well. They feel very premium and work seamlessly for some karaoke. This speaker is super fun at a party for this reason. My kids take the speaker when their friends come over to have a karaoke jam. Jbl has released another solid Party speaker. It has improved specs, hardware and accessories when compared to the previous model. Every improvement is well thought out and welcomed. It’s my go to speaker for casual listening and for parties. The fact that you can even use it with the previous model is an added bonus. Connect speakers from other categories of Jbl speakers via Auracast making this speaker even more versatile.
Fantastic Sound and Lights!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so impressed with this JBL speaker! The sound quality is crystal clear, with rich bass that really fills the room. Even at higher volumes, the audio stays sharp and balanced. The built-in light display adds such a fun vibe—it reacts beautifully to the music and creates a mini party atmosphere wherever I use it. The design is sleek and sturdy, and it feels very durable. Setup was super easy, and the Bluetooth connection is reliable without any dropouts. The battery life is also impressive—it lasts for hours without needing a charge. Overall, this speaker is perfect whether I’m relaxing at home, hanging out with friends, or taking it on the go. JBL really delivered on both performance and style with this one. Highly recommend!
Amazingly Versatile Party Speaker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing party speaker! I recieved it the day before I was leaving for a week-long camping trip, and the timing couldn't have been better. My friends were absolutely thrilled I brought a speaker for karaoke, and it was the catalyst for so many smiles and laughs! I got a chance to check out its ruggedness from being used by a quite raucous crowd. A drink was spilled over the top of the speaker at one point, getting all over the knobs and buttons, but it was good as new after wiping it off with a damp cloth. It was also left outside in the grass overnight several times, becoming absolutely soaked in morning dew. Still worked wonderfully! The sound quality is delightful, and the unit is plenty loud; it's easily heard over the constant laughter and yelling of a crowd of 20-30. Back home, I've aso been using this speaker for my electronic drum set! My old drum monitor is out of comission at the moment, and they plug right into the nifty guitar jack in the back of the unit! Being so impressed by the speaker's versatility and quality, I'd honestly reccomend it for anybody looking for a general-use speaker. It sounds great, functions as a decent amplifier for drums, guitar, & keyboard, and it wonderfully compact and portable! I'll likely get another eventually to try out the speaker pairing mode...
JBL Partybox Encore 2–Powerful Sound,Smart Design
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the JBL PartyBox Encore 2 for a while now, and I have to say—it’s one of the best portable party speakers I’ve owned. First off, the sound is amazing. It’s loud, clear, and the bass really hits, even in outdoor spaces. I’ve used it for small gatherings and backyard events, and it fills the space effortlessly. Whether you’re playing music, using the mic, or just watching people dance, the audio never disappoints. Battery life is solid too. I easily get a full day’s use on a single charge—around 10–15 hours depending on the volume and lighting. Perfect for full-day events or road trips. One of the things I really liked is the wireless mic that comes with it. It’s very loud and clear, making it perfect for outdoor use, karaoke nights, or announcements. Even better, it has an inbuilt rechargeable battery that charges via USB-C (though note: the Type-C cable isn’t included, so you’ll need your own). There’s also a mic holder on the speaker itself, so you can keep it attached and not worry about losing it during the event. Another highlight is how easy it is to connect multiple speakers together. I’ve personally tested it with a JBL PartyBox 120, and the connection was seamless. This feature is a game changer when you want to create a bigger sound experience across a larger area. Build-wise, the speaker feels sturdy and looks great with its built-in light effects. It’s not too bulky either, which makes it easy to move around. Overall, I’m really happy with the Encore 2. It delivers great sound, has good battery life, works beautifully with the mic, and makes multi-speaker setup a breeze. Whether it’s for parties, events, or just family get-togethers, it gets the job done and more.
Great addition to any party
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1. Big Battery, Big Fun The battery life is one of the first things I noticed. JBL says it can go up to 15 hours on a single charge, and a quick 10-minute top-up gets you over an hour of playtime. In my experience, it’s been more than enough for a full evening of music without worrying about plugging in. Even with the volume up, lights on, and bass boost running, it just keeps going. 2. Packed with Features That Make Sense • Sound performance: It’s powerful, clear, and delivers that deep bass you expect from JBL without losing detail in the highs. • AI Sound Boost: Lets you crank it up without the sound getting muddy. • Auracast connectivity: You can wirelessly link two Encore 2s for true stereo or add more for bigger spaces. • Karaoke-ready: It comes with a wireless mic and built-in controls for echo, bass, and treble, which makes it great for hosting or just having fun. • Lights that groove: The light show reacts to your music and sets the right mood. • Built for real life: It’s splash-resistant, easy to carry with the built-in handle, and made from recycled materials with eco-friendly packaging. 3. What Stands Out in Use This feels like a real step forward from earlier models. The sound is bigger, the battery lasts longer, and connecting it to other speakers is simple. It’s versatile enough for quiet background music or filling a room for a party. 4. A Couple Things to Know The body is mostly plastic, which keeps it light, but it can scratch if you’re rough with it. The lights add a fun vibe, but they’re more for atmosphere than for a full light show. Final Take If you want a dependable, fun, and portable speaker that’s perfect for parties, karaoke nights, or just enjoying music at home, the JBL PartyBox Encore 2 nails it. It delivers great sound, thoughtful features, and the kind of battery life that lets you focus on the moment instead of the charger
Solid speaker with good sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This speaker is a solid speaker, and definitely does the job. Battery life is solid, volume is loud (when you need it to be), sound is clear, and connection range is good. This speaker would definitely work well outdoors for pool parties/barbecues, indoor gatherings for work related business, or even just general listening while doing workshop work. The microphones connect quick and seamlessly and have good range, and crystal clear audio. The addition of straps that lock onto the back of the speaker for holding the microphones helps to ensure they always remain with the speaker and don’t get lost. My only issue I have experienced was a small connection issue where randomly the audio from my phone would cut out for a split second before returning to normal. It would never drop the connection entirely, but it would do a small little blip before continuing on. It did seem to have a small connection issue when there was a car in between the speaker and connected device but it wasn’t major, and again would never disconnect. Overall my experience thus far has been solid. It’s definitely gotten good use and will continue to be used for various events and home tasks.
JBL Partybox Encore 2 (2 mic version)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PartyBox Encore 2 I am reviewing is the 2 mic version. You can now have someone join your karaoke party without you having to pass the mic along. The microphones are compact and can be charged via USB C. The speaker has two locations on the back were you can attach the provided mic holders to easily carrying both microphones. The speaker is an improvement over it’s predecessor with a higher battery capacity, increasing runtime to around 15 hours per full charge. The higher capacity battery is now replaceable by opening a lower compartment on the back of the unit. This is a huge benefit as you can carry an extra battery in case you run out of power or in case you need to replace the battery in the future. The speaker looks great with the larger style JBL logo which is dark grey with orange outlining each letter. The top handle is a soft silicone material which allows you to carry the unit with it’s speakers facing to the sides. The speaker has a total output of 100W RMS when connected to an AC outlet. The speakers frequency range is from 40Hz to 20kHz. Bass is deep, vocals are clear and treble is crisp. Output power is slightly reduced when using it with the internal battery. The JBL One app is a must to take full advantage of all the features the speaker has to offer. You can access the volume, play, pause fast forward, rewind, DJ effects, light controls, sound settings with 4 preset sound profiles, a custom 7 band equalizer as well as a couple of bass boost selections. I prefer the deep bass setting over punchy bass. You can adjust mic volume and add mic echo intensity via the app as well as buttons on the unit. You can pair the speaker with the exact speaker via Auracast to create true left and right stereo pairing. You can also connect it to older generation Partybox speakers which is great as some people may be upgrading from previous models. Left and right stereo pairing is not available between different model speakers. You will also be able to update the speakers firmware via the JBL One app. The speaker has physical buttons on top as well as under the water resistant compartment in back of the unit. I like the fact that JBL kept a 3.5mm input as well as a guitar input with volume and gain control. The speaker also has a USB C port in the back for a wired connection or for charging your USB C compatible devices like the included mics or a phone. A small led light has been added under the water resistant compartment for easy viewing in the dark. The speaker is not water proof but rather splash proof, in case it should get a bit wet. The JBL Partybox Encore 2 is an outstanding speaker with great build quality. I recommend this speaker to anyone wanting a superb, loud, fun, party speaker. I almost forgot to mention that I could find any cons with this speaker. It is that good.
Just buy it
