Be assured this isn't what we expect with our safety checks and with the help of our app. However, using the device on dark brown or black spots such as freckles, birthmarks, moles, warts, large veins, darker pigmented areas, scars, and skin anomalies can cause this to happen. That's because more light energy is being absorbed into the skin which could result in a burn, burning sensation, and discomfort.
