I always worry about buying my 2 year old son big expensive gifts cause he gets bored easily. We are going on a 3 weeks and he LOVES this coaster!! My 4 year old daughter loves it too. It does go really fast so we had to keep a close eye on them. It looked like so much fun I had to try it out myself..lol

We bought this for our two boys birthdays which are close together. They are three and four years old. There is an Extreme Coaster at a local indoor playground that is one of the most popular pieces of equipment there so I wanted to get one for our boys. I love the well thought out engineering that makes the car travel down the rails safely while steps allow the kids to push the car back into place and divets at the top hold the car in place as a child climbs into it. This engineering allows kids to operate the roller coaster without adult help (total bonus for parents), although some supervision is required to prevent kids from standing or walking in the path of the moving car. My husband and I put this together and it took us almost exactly an hour. You do need to have your own tools on hand, specifically a screw driver (electric screwdriver highly recommended), a ratchet, and a wrench. It would be very hard to put together without these three tools. The roller coaster arrived in three separate boxes and each piece (about 9 total) is quite light weight. If put together according to the instructions, it's quite sturdy. My boys absolutely love this. It totally rocks! And the best part is that it totally wears my kids out. We have a large back yard with a gentle slope and we placed the ramp at the top of the slope so each run goes quite a long way, probably 45 to 50 feet. Whichever kid is watching the other ride loves to run after the car as it rolls across our yard and then they run while pushing the car back across the yard and up the ramp. Awesome way to have fun and expend all that excess energy without requiring parents to expend any!

THIS IS A GREAT COASTER FROM STEP 2 WE ENJOY WATCHING THE KIDS AS THEY ROLL DOWN . IT BRINGS SMILES TO ALL OF OUR FACES.5 STARS.WE HAVE HAD THE COASTER FOR A LITTLE OVER 2 WEEKS THE ONLY DOWN SIDE IS THAT THERE IS NO GRASS WHERE ITS BEEN USED SOOO MUCH! KIDS LOVE IT AND WE LOVE IT.

I ordered the product after reading several reviews that its was good for older and younger children. That was very important since my grandchildren range in age from 9 months to 7 years. We ordered it for Christmas and set it up in the hallway Christmas day. That was not enough room, and after returning from a family dinner it was carried outside. The children had a blast!!! But it was so cold, we could not let them stay out long; we had to make them come into the house. We have a little bit of a hill which really gives them a long ride. They get a lot of exercise since they have to walk back to ride again. I like anything that is safe and gets them outside, and active. Great product step 2!!!

Bought the extreme coaster for my son for Christmas. He is 4 and was intimidated for most of Christmas morning. He rode for quite a while after that first ride. He loves this thing. I went against the instructions and rode it myself. The weight limit says 80 pounds. I wouldn't walk the steps at my weight (125) but I did jump on at the top and rode a few times. This thing goes far and fast. We are using it indoors and the ride goes from one end of the basement to the other. We had to use a sleeping bag for the kids to crash in to. Super fun and recommend.

We just set this up in our backyard for our grandsons who are 5 and 3 years old and they just love it. We are so pleased with the quality. We are usually disappointed with purchases but this one is better than we expected. Someone finally designed something right! Thank you.

They thought of everything with this toy! I am the mother of 4 boys the youngest being 3. All 4 of them enjoy riding the Extreme Coaster! I can't really find anything negative to say about it. I put it together myself, by myself, so it is easy to assemble.

My sister has the "Up and Down" coaster, which my daughter enjoys, but she is getting too big for it. I got this for my daughter's third birthday, and she LOVES it! She can't wait to go outside and play on her "car and ramp" every day. Since she my only child, it keeps her entertained on her own (with my supervision, of course) without constantly bugging me to play with her! It is not easy to assemble, but it's not TOO difficult, either. It took my husband and I a couple of hours, though! The only real con I see with this product is the price...it is rather expensive for a young child's toy!

the great thing about this product is that it can be used for many years. it isn't somethig she will play with this year then won't ever use again. It's so durable all of our future children will be able to also use it. The only drawback is that the track doesn't have anything other than a straight shot down.

Bought as Christmas gift for grandchildren. They were kept busy inside with other gifts while Extreme Coaster was assembled in the backyard. Secured their bike helmets on their heads and took them outside. "Awesome!", was exclaimed in unison as they rushed to it, where they have since continued to play, virtually non-stop, despite this year's unusually cold temperatures. They have told all their friends about the roller coaster in their backyard, and invited them over to ride. They absolutely love "him", and have named him "Speedy". One evening, my daughter arrived home with our grandchildren and went to retrieve the mail at the same time the neighbor across the street went to retrieve theirs. The grandchildren rushed over, and the neighbor was excitedly told about about their roller coaster, and invited for a ride. Our daughter and the neighbor explained that it would be another time, as it was getting cold and would soon be dark. "Then I don't have much time," was heard and the children went back across the street, and into the house. The next sound heard from the neighbor's mailbox across the street by our daughter and their neighbor, were our grandchildren's squeals of delight from the backyard while riding "Speedy." A brief break was taken to poke a head out the front door to exclaim the coaster ride "was awesome!", then back to Speedy. Extreme Coaster is well-designed and constructed, and easy for children to use independently. It is an excellent toy for keeping children engaged in hours of excitement and fun physical activity. Our grandchildren love it.
