The top shelf in the bundle had a split down the middle, as well as a hole near the side. I don’t know if this was due to poor manufacturing or if it was mishandled by the store. I did not cut the straps to inspect the inner shelves. I will not re-order as I am not confident in the strength of these shelves. Lesson learned — I should have opened and inspected them before accepting curbside delivery.

bought 6 of these shelves. one has failed. legs have snapped off on one side. i do not recommend storing more than 150 lbs, if that, on each shelf. this had out drinks on it and with 2 cases off beer a coupla-few sixpacks and 2 margarita bottles on top. next shelf was mixed drinks canned/bottled and 2 cases of cider. next shelf is non alcoholic and some water. bottome shelf was just 3 cases of water. the bottom legs snapped, and the one leg above those bowed. the other shelves have some bowing where the load is pulling on it. looking at the bottom of the shelves they are not secored very well and that is the second point of failure after the legs

PROS: Made in America (I think). Strong. Sturdy plastic. Mostly well designed and manufactured. TWO CONS: %231 A design flaw allowed two posts to slip through their bushings to the adjacent shelves, and I had to disassemble and hammer them back into place. I think the tolerances are so close it would have worked if the unit was made of metal, but not plastic. %232 The plastic assembly parts come molded onto a stem during manufacturing (think model airplane parts on a grand scale) and they must be individually separated. What a hassle! Each part has to be twisted off and they doi not come off easily. Add at least 15 minutes to your project to remove each piece off the stem. I know they do it to save manufacturing cost (the customer does all the labor of removing the plastic parts). Was it a deal-killer? Probably not. I kept the product. I think overall it is a good unit for the price. Just don't try to use a box-cutter to trim the pieces off. It won't work. The plastic is too thick. I knicked my finger.

This was super easy to put together but very sturdy. Very pleased with this purchase!
